BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Stellantis, Toyota, Volkswagen. Estimates are new car prices will increase from $3,500 to $12,000, depending on the vehicle. Used car prices will increase in tandem. Cost of auto parts will increase too, so keeping and fixing old Nelly won't be a workaround either. Welcome to Trump Auto.

His own article says Honda won't produce its first vehicle in Indiana until May 2028. And that's probably optimistic. So by the time the first Honda rolls off the assembly line it's likely Trump won't even be President any more. Meanwhile, Americans will be paying thousands more for cars for years.
Thanks, Don!

There will be other companies that adjust their production and sourcing based on Trump’s policies, but it will take time. Would the liberals here acknowledge that if we achieve increased US manufacturing in the next four years, that successful milestone is a good thing for the American worker?

Immediately after all the righties acknowledge the tens of thousands of jobs Biden created with the CHIPS Act.

I noted several times it was the only good thing Biden did his entire time in office. Mind you, Biden did this by just copying Trump's policies from his first administration. Protectionism. It makes the country stronger. Hamilton thought so, the left thought so when protesting free trade in Seattle back in 1999, it was the basis for Ralph Nader's entire 2000 campaign, it was a central feature of the campaigns of Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich, but it was Trump who finally broke through the neo-lib free trade bullshit.

I’ll acknowledge that the Chips Act created thousands of jobs.

Wanker ought to bone up, as the Smoot-Hawley Tariff of 1930 considerably worsened The Great Depression.
