And no, this won't put us in a deep recession, even if the do-nothings on Capitol Hill do nothing. It will probably put us back into a recession, but not a deep one.

It's $85 billion per year. We are presently spending  $3,500 billion per year. That's only a 2.4% reduction. That's the equivalent for a household budget of $50,000 reducing their spending by about $1,200.

This talk that massive numbers of people will lose their jobs is BS, especially first responders, police and school teachers. These are paid at the state and local level. Yes, there are federal dollars that flow into state and local budgets but no one, not even those that want to scare you believe that budgets can't be adjusted to accommodate a 2.4% reduction. Even with the targeting of the "sequester" aimed at the Pentagon they can certainly adjust budgets to spread the pain around (unless there really is some in the government that are waste and deserve to be cut (are you listening willy?)

President Obama thinks he can blame and demonize the Republicans for all this. And most likely, given his lap dog press he just might succeed at it.

The socialist-in-chief  will do nothing just like he does nothing on all the important issues,(other than fuck things-up then point the finger and blame others as he always does) but rest assured he will try to take away everyone’s guns, shred the constitution and kiss the ass of putin and all his pinko pals.
