Are just as anoying as the bible thumpers.

Their personal disire for others to believe, well in this case not belive. The same thing as them, to be rather one sided, and self serving.

Any one else fell the same way?

Anyone that pushes their beliefs on others has a problem within themselves. There are very few religions that dont do missionary work. Missonary is nothing more than trying to indoctrinate the people in another country or region of this country to convert people to your belief system.

Oh and conservatives this country was not founded on christianity, the founding fathers broke away from the english church... When will the conservatives ever learn.

Most of the atheists that I know are very tolerant of others religious beliefs.  However, if I do find any hostility, it's against organized religion.

...I've never seen anyone standing outside a supermarket handing out atheist tracts.

However, bigvern, if you should meet someone pushing spelling lessons, you should accept it without hesitation.  Otherwise, people may get the impression from reading your posts that you look like this...hyuk, hyuk, hyuk...

door about religion either, and I have never seen some one pushing religion out side the market.

Your fondness for correct spelling and gramer, is as athouritarin as organized religion. Would you care to point out what word I spelled wrong, or was it another post?

...and see CeCe's post, it sounds like she was talking about you--nyuk--nyuk--nyuk.

As a suggestion, try using Google Chrome as your browser as it automatically spell checks text boxes, it works very well for big words, not so well however for smaller, commoner words.

It's not like it's hard to do, you just have to try and care about it.

my opening line is, "What? Regular Christianity wasn't fucked up enough for you? You had to go out and invent an even wackier version?"

Personally, if I'm interested in getting to know someone, I'm usually interested in what they believe, if they're willing to tell me. Anyone else, they can "speak to the hand!"   ;)

is that they want to spread, and in order to spread they must make people believe that their God is the one true God.  Some preachers even to the point of condoning hatred for Islam muslims.  My aunt even tells me that Islam is the only religion that teaches hatred.  I don't know about that enough to judge it.  I do know that I have experienced the holy spirit, or whatever another person may want to call it.

Constatine changed the Bible around 300AD and many books were removed that could have possibly enlightened us on Christ consciousness.  Our pagan festivals, such as, sex and fertility on the spring equinox (hence sex (rabbit) fertility (eggs) was changed to Easter.   And while emperor I believe he used the Bible to control the masses.

I believe we are here for more than just a promise of a materialist heaven reward, that just seems so human and not of the spirit.  I believe we are here to purify our hearts, for our souls growth.  That did come to me while burning limbs yesterday.  I was watching and controling the fire, and I imagined throwing thoughts into the fire that no longer serve me and my happiness.  The fire was righteous and the purifier.  I became aware of leaves blowing in the tall tree tops and I had to get naked and feel the wind on my bare skin.  I became extremely horny, and wanted to fuck in the woods.  Animal style, doggy.  Not missionary or with any compassion.  Just raw sex.  Now this is a true story.  I was fucking in the woods, and 2 volunteer firemen caught me and my partner in the woods.  ;)  Even though, I had done all the right steps with Forestry commission with getting my burn permit.  haha.  Nosy First Baptist church goers will tell every person in this town.  So if I disappear, they burned me at the stake.  :)

My point, is we are here to also live and be crazy and wild.  And even creative with coming up with a sex story about Little Red Riding hood and the big bad wolf in the woods.  Fantasy and Escapism is part of the journey.

And when able, without compromising our own journey I think we should help people.  I have learned to have safe boundaries with those that are in the gutter snearing at me, and it is not healthy for me to be around some people

You'll see plenty of pushy believers, and they are even scarier when they are in numbers.

Daffy jokes all the time about KKK'rs, but I bet you he has never seen them up close and personal. they are a scary lot, especially if you aren't the same color as them.
