Back in May I stated with conviction that I was not going to be voting for Obama. Rather, I figured I'd probably just pass this election up.
But Nuguy changed my mind on this.
You see, I got all caught up with the idea that I should vote for something I want instead of voting for the lesser of two evils. But Nuguy gave me a whole new perspective on this.
I seem to have a serious flaw. I continually over-estimate the intelligence of the average American. Nuguy reminded me that a frighteningly large percentage of Americans are nothing more than dumb racists who will vote for a guy who will fuck up the country just because he don't like a black guy in the White House.
My home state of Virginia is a swing state. If the polls are any indication, Virginia will be one of the, if not THE closest states in this election. Turn out in Northern Virginia, where I live, will determine if the state goes red or blue. If turnout in Northern Virginia is high enough, Obama will win the state.
And it just so happens that if Virginia goes blue, Romney loses the election. There is no way for Romney to get to 270 electoral votes without Virginia.
Many states are utilizing early voting, and Virginia is no exception. So I drove on over to my local voter registration office, stood in line, and I cast my ballot.
So I dedicate this post to Nuguy. Guess which guy I voted for?

...but in 96 I voted for Perot. In 2000 I voted for Nader. I held my nose for Kerry in 2004 only because Bush was so horrible. I voted for Obama in 2008. In 2010 I stayed home. I hadn't planned on voting this year. Not unless the Democrats got their act together and started governing the same way they campaign.
But given that Romney's economic plan is Bushonomics on steroids, I don't think the country I love could survive another 4 years of that shit.
Plus, it really is fun to use your vote to piss off all the retarded-as-fuck racist dipshits.
