How must it feel to be Mitt right about now?

Just wondering if he goes to Michigan tomorrow campaigning that the "electorate does not want change" and he is best qualified to beat Hillary.

As people may recall after Iowa he campaigned that "people want change (hell everybody did)" and how qualified he was to defeat Barack.

Before Iowa he campaigned that he was "qualified" to follow in the footsteps of Bush and defeat Hillary in the general.

As for me I figured out that the people who do not participate in the electoral process "got it right" a long time ago and have followed their lead for several years now.

I figured that this is a free country. As much as we have the right to vote, we also have the right NOT to vote!

 My parents fought long and hard to earn their American citizenship and their right to vote. As such, I honor their battle by voting in every national election. That being said, I understand and agree with you in theory. But rather than protest the degredation of leadership being offered to the people of this country by not voting, I HAVE, in fact, via write-in, voted for NONE OF THE ABOVE on two occasions; Nixon v McGovern in 1972, and Dukakis v Bush 1988.
The way things are going, this election might be the third occasion.
Doesn't really matter though... because we stopped being a true government by, of, and for the people quite some time ago. FWIW, I would place the exact date as November 22, 1963.

I would set the date earlier than that. The Kennedys, John F included, were far from perfect.

As far as voting goes, I agee that we have the right to NOT vote, and I wish more people(the ones that disagree with me) would exercise that right. Speaking strictly for myself however, I feel that if I don't vote than I give up my right to bitch about how the country is run.

Considering the current slate of candidates however, I may not be able to vote FOR anyone of them. I expect that I will hold my nose and vote AGAINST the more vile of the two choices offered.

True dat. Nonetheless, I believe the assassination of JFK was the turning point in our history as a nation, a coup d'etat never acknowledged. With the ascension of LBJ to the Oval Office, Eisenhower's warning admonition about the military-industrial complex became a reality.

There should be a picture of Mitt Romney in the dictionary under the words: smug, arrogant, condasending, sanctimonious, & fraud...

The Mitt Romney who was the governor of MA., is a complete 360 from the Mitt Romney running for POTUS......He will say & do anything to get elected.....

No matter how much you dislike Romney you have to agree he has awesome suits..most of the other guys look like beggars compared to his threads..

He should be running for profet of the Juniper Creek compound instead of President! Yup, just the fact he's "Mormon" was enough to turn me instantly against him without even needing to hear one word come out of his mouth, bigotry is simply a more efficent prosess of elimination...

Another thing you have to wonder about Romney is why he goes by his middle name instead of his first name -- Willard -- like the rest of the world.

Because Willard is a fat mans name...and there are millions and millions and millions of people who go by their middle name..In some States a majority of men go by their middle name ..West Va ..72% of men go by their middle name.
