I love Pinots, just like Miles, and I too believe that a bottle of your "finest Merlot" is akin to saying a bottle of your "finest Rose" It's simply an oxymoron IMHO
and as much as I hate to agree with BPS, he's absolutely right about wine in the red states, I can't think of a single red state that makes a decent wine, red or white. There are really only three states I can think of that make decent wine in this country, all on the Pacific coast and all very blue. California, Oregon and Washington. I've been suckered into trying wines from a few other states and can't think of one even worth using to deglaze a pan....decided where you are going to do business? What products you're going to buy based on where in the country they come from?
I expect many Alt Right folk will refrain from doing business with the West Coast Staes, and many of those who lean left, Liberals, Progressives, Social Democrats, and of course Anti-Fascists will try to avoid buying and perhaps even selling to Rudt Belt States.
Since there probably won't be any large scale boycotts, it probably won't make any real difference, so it's mostly a symbolic action based on principle. And maybe a way of keeping your own home clean in a spiritual sense.
Of course it might also be that acting on principle would urge you to reach out economically to politically diverse regions in the spirit of coming together as a nation, healing wounds, giving the new guy a chance whatever you think of him, and ideals like that.
So one curious aspect to this question is that I'm asking it on the a board designed for hobbyists and providers. I wonder how many act on principle.
I assume most of you just buy where you get the price and sell to the highest bidder, but for those of you who consider such things, will you be making any adjustments? Or will it be like buying stuff from China and laughing at any "Buy American" campaigns?
i need to get high and read this again..
Oh wait, that was a delusion had by Democrats.
IDK, my state went blue, and so did the electoral votes. I still think Latinas are hot, and I'm not going out of my way to spend money.
If that don't answer your question, nothing will.

and Mass. are Democratic strongholds; they will never go Red. For years my State was Red unit the people from Mass. began moving in because they liked the idea of no income tax, no sales tax, good schools, etc. The problem is that they brought along their Mass. values. They turned our State into a "bedroom" State in that they still work in Mass. but live across the border. Yes, they piss me off. Do I charge them more for my services? Bet your ass.

...red states so they must make good red wine, right?
great, especially those fat ones, great on a cold winters day. May want to send us some of those short brown guys that work their ass off for you, you know, the guys you pay shit for hanging off your roof, working your fields, and soon to be voting for Trump.
A great line from a really good movie.

You really are a narrow minded judgmental fucker, aren't you?
Only a moron is going to boycott Michigan just because "around" half of it's citizens didn't fall into lock step with the "ruling party" up there and chose to vote for what they saw as their own self interest rather that be "good little Democrats" like they have for generations.
It would be equally as moronic for a farmer in Kansas to refuse to buy a let's say a computer made in silicon valley, just because the bay area votes blue and has done so since before I was a kid growing up there.
Now specific companies like Hobby Lobby or Chick Fil A, which have been boycotted by the left, or I suppose something like the Disney boycott from the lunatic right (yes, I am biased GFY) those kind of boycotts at least make some sense, and for the record I have refused to patronize Chick Fil A for years, despite them making the only fast food that actually tastes like it came from a real chicken.
Ok, I have to ask. Was this a serious question, or is this simply a late run at SPOTY?
French Fries being renamed Freedom Fries when France did not support the Iraq war. They were probably right but took some heat. As for specific companies, they can actually piss off a segment of the community with their beliefs. Good example is Target. They will donate to the gay community but not the military vets. For Target that was like a self induced boycott from the vets. Or, a great way to attract gay shoppers......unless he is a gay vet. Then what.
But if we get into it with Turkey balking at fighting alongside Kurds in Syria we might have to have Roast Freedom for Thanksgiving.
We all know now, thanks to your recent post, that's where the bigots come from
This is why none of the questions ever get real answers. You assume that asking a question is the same as asserting a statement. Should I assume YOU are going to "boycott" small towns? You're the one who brought it up, right
My post assumed nothing regarding your personal support for any boycotts. I simply expressed surprised you didn’t included all those small towns where the bigots reside along with the other wrong minded people in red states. And it was you that brought it up, not me. The essence of my post was to remind everyone that it was you that think the bigots come from small towns
locally, or at least in this country, whether by Democrats or Republicans. However, I've never shopped at Walmart. I'd rather support my local small business person than them.
