As far as the Republicans blaming Obama for being too weak, they're just trying to keep their advantage as being seen as the stronger party on national defense, and the more patriotic party. It's just their attacks get pretty thin at times, like McCain's.

Now if Obama has since taken back what he once said, or even claimed that his views have changed over time, that would be one thing, but to the best of my knowledge that is not the case. or do you have information to the contrary?
