yeah, but according to his supporters on this board he's running against a whiny, spineless, socialist, muslim, criminal who's never done anything worthwhile in his life.

Why can't McCain win if that's the case? What does that say about McCain?

Here's why I will never support the Republicans.  Whenever someone disagrees with them they call them: unpatriotic, un-American, a terrorist, someone who will destroy the U.S. and the world.

Come on.  Please.  I disagree with Republicans, but I would never call McSAME unpatriotic, un-American, a terrorist, etc.

If you disagree with a candidate.  Fine.  But calling them unpatriotic?  A Terrorist?  Really?  This is why I do not respect republicans.

Look at Failin, I mean Palin.  When she gave a speech (where she first mentioned the Ayers BS), people in the audience actually said: "TERRORIST!!!!"  and "KILL HIM!!!"

It's BS like this that make me not respect Republicans AT ALL.

Maybe it's racism.  Maybe it's just frustration, but seriously?  "KILL HIM?"

I'd LOVE to hear a Republican justify this.  Explain to me why I, as a liberal Democrat (which you call a COMMUNIST OR SOCIALIST), I should respect your point of view when you are calling for my candidate, Obama, to be killed?  Or, a Terrorist?  Why the fuck should I respect your point of view with rhetoric like that?

Those extremely radical and abhorrent actions are not committed by anything but a tiny minority. Do you really believe that those viewpoints are shared by anything but a tiny minority? Do you attribute those characteristics to me? You are correct to be appalled by their behavior, but to attribute that type of behavior to all Republicans is totally irrational.

Is the inverse irrationality justified whereby a tiny minority of liberals have been seen to call for despicable acts of violence on people such as Bush and Cheney? There is commonly, blanket attacks on ALL Republicans as being racist, bigoted, homophobes. These can be just as readily observed as those that you cite. Do you belong to this far far left wing class of nut jobs? I think not.

When Dems disagreed with Bush's handling of Iraq, guess what we were called:

Un-American, Un-Patriotic, Terrorist supporters.

Who said this?  Cheney, Rove, Bush, many others.

So, your higher echelon peeps have been saying this for a LONG time.

Why should I even begin to have a conversation with a Republican when many of that party consider me to be Un-American, Un-Patriotic, etc.

Finally, why didn't Failin', I mean Palin, or McSame call out those people in the audience who were saying: "KILL HIM!!!!"  "TERRORIST?"

Why didn't they call them out?  Wouldn't you?

Nor do you pay attention to what conservative leaders like Abramoff and Norquist espoused.

How do know for sure those on the podeum could hear the remarks? The TV mics could easily pick up what they could not. I didn't see the meeting in question. Any You tube of it?

Answer the second question. Do you align yourself with the far left nut jobs? Do you object to being classified as more of the same of what they are?

A huge event hit that was not anticipated.  The event looks bad for "the ruling party," even though there is plenty of blame to go around.

The immediate reaction of masses of people is not necessarily correct.  The nation is very frightened, justifiably so.  Ohio had thousands of people voting the first week of the crisis.

Without even seeing how severe it is, by voting now, they are rushing to make a decision that they can't change if things stabalize and their first opinion turns out to be faulty.

However, decisions made in fear are not necessarily good decisions.

Yes, a crisis mentality is governing.  That may not be the best basis for long term planning.

I don't know you, so how can I hold "disdain" for you?

As for footage?  Just go to any site: CNN, Youtube, Fox, etc.  Look for the video where Failin', I mean Palin, first brings up Ayers.  It's clearly heard.

Align myself with far left nut jobs?
I have no idea how to answer that, but honestly in the 8 years Bush has been in office there has been w/o a doubt a general attack on anyone who doesn't agree with his policies.

Do I think Bush was a good president?  Hell no, and 80% America agrees with me on that.

Do I think Bush and his cronies have "defended the constitution?"  I'd say they've trampled on it more than any administration (even Nixon).

So, based on the above, do you think I'm a left nut job?  If you do, so be it.

My only complaint with you here and the reason for calling you irrational is your flat assertion that all Republicans are of the same ilk that called for murder, etc. I tried to point out by example that you shouldn't classify an entire political group based on the actions of a few. There's one expression that would describe such a person that does so.

Politcal bigot.

Except for your sometimes fringe attempt at satire (which doesn't really count) I don't consider you a left wing nut job. I was trying not to consider you a bigot.
