Shit-----I support you against that prick Gov Walker & the idiots that support him here & generally, about 75% on issues on this board & you pull this "pussy nonsense"?! I know the guy--he's certainly not that way ! Thing is, you're cheap & acting wussy about a bet, so these "preconditions have to exist". I took the bet, because, with Gray Davis precedent, saw it as a good deal.
Lemme explain my betting philosophy : been a bettor for about 35 years ;like playing the horses, video poker, etc. Not a BIG bettor---when I have provider session & stay overnight at Vegas hotel, routinely expect to lose $ 100 gambling, which is peanuts to many. When a friend comes to town & stays 2 nights at hotel, routinely expect to lose $ 200-300; no BFD.
In '92 election, friend bet me dinner & drinks that George bush Sr would win election & I took him up on it. Won the bet & collected, as I expect GaG to do with me ,or vice versa. More recently, I bet a relative that Sharron Angle
would win the Senate seat ( thank God I lost that bet ); I honored my word & paid up promptly.
Willy, my business not so great right now, but I certainly can put up a $ 50 bet. No balls to do that. As many can attest to, am obnoxious asshole, but a man of my word. There's not much to that.
Willy, when GaG laid down a bet marker & if you're too afraid/cheap to accept the bet, you coulda declined, saying you have financial troubles or, put down a small bet ( $ 20 ). But, you didn't & acted like a jerk instead.

Pria, I said out front that I don't make bets. GaG nagged about it, and I offered the terms of that bet. I altered it after he complained as a compromise. Obviously, the only reason why he would decline such a bet is if he reasonably believed he would lose. If that is the case, I don't blame him for declining my offer.

Sorry to hear about your business Pria, but I fail to see how I'm being cheap by expecting GaG to risk the same amount as I. I figure before taxes I make around $100 for a half day's work. That is what I put on the table. GaG is free to accept the terms of the bet or decline.
