Besides, I do not agree with whatever you assert "Article 15" says! If that were true, then that is an unjust law!

Further more, if I did wish to directly insult someone with any of those words, I'd be within my rights! I haven't lost my right to express yet!(but people like you are sure working on taking it away!) How does his hate words add to the discussion on this board? Ever since Ben Dover became moderator there has been less and less activity on this board. It has become a yelling match on who can insult the meanest and most vile words.

Then whenever, one does speak up and fights fire with fire, Ben Dover bans them. That is not about being liberal or conservative it is cowardly. How is this better? No one is going to listen to your conservative views if you insult them personally.  One can disagree without being disagreeable.

is focused on the wrong things.  As the father of two kids, who frequenly use terms like "gay" and whose step-dad IS in fact a Morman, I can honestly say that this is a GREAT example of a double standard.... "gays" as a group - are protected while "Mormans" as a group - are not.

When I ask my kids, what does the term "gay" mean - they have no clue!  Sure, they know that in some context it can be used to refer to homosexual behavior... but they do not associate their use of the term to mean homosexual!  To them, it is slang for "undesireable" behavior.

Ok, so where is the problem?  Much as in the workplace, we are really focused on the wrong issue.  The issue is how to resolve differences where possible, and accept tolerance as a solution in those cases where differences cannot be resolved.

Schools have failed to do this for years - starting at the University level.  You must accept the political dogma dished out on most campuses or suffer the consequences....  We need change.

I've been an "employer" in a few different business ventures over my life, and I know I've never judged a man by what he believes or how he speaks,,, I judge him and determine his wage based on what he can PRODUCE! And I can tell you I will NOT hire someone with tattoos or facial-piercingsor men with ear-rings for any job where they will be required to interact with the public! But such "freaks" are welcome to work for me in labor-positions and often are hard workers... So I "discriminate" against people "freely expressing" themselves too, but that's my RIGHT to do as an employer! (regardless of what the "law" says!)

As far as if you fought, what you were fighting for, and whether or not you laid your life on any lines is between you an the government that hired you to fight, but there's A LOT of variables that can occur between a solider being just another guy, or being a "hero", and I have no idea what conflict you fought in (if any), what tasks you were assigned while in the service, and what "heroics" you may or may not have been involved in, nor do I have any insight as to WHY you signed up to serve in the first place!

To some I bestow honor, to others I see and acknowledge their since of duty, but to many I just see their military-service as a way they hoped to fund their education as they rolled the dice of life hoping they never get called up!

What I find objectable to Ben Dover is that he promotes foul language to coarse through these boards. Now I realize, that what we discuss doesn't amount to a hill a beans, but dang it I did not like bullies in grade school and I do not like them now. My service to my country was because I believed in what President Reagan had to say about Patroitism and duty to your country. I am sorry I do not share your cynacism. I love this country and I showed it by signing up. What did you do, stay home and bitch.

Nor do I think he got what he "deserved"... What he got was a free education, which was given on the premise that if his service was needed, he would then perform his duty, then due to misfortune during his duty, he now os blind or without a limb... He also agreed in advance that if he should happen to be wounded or killed while preforming his contracted duty, that he or his family would live out their days on whatever meager compensation the government was OFFERING ant the time he signed up!

Thanks, but fortunately I opted not to play that game when I graduated highschool, thus, when the recruiters came to my school, and I wasn't able to join the branch that intrested me, I chose to say NO when they offered me a spot in the regular army... And I've thanked God ever since! Because two years later "Desert Storm" began, and I'd have gone over with most of my classmates that DID say YES to the recruter!

To my knowlege, everyone I knew came home from Desert Storm, finished school, married, had kids, some turned out great, others turned out miserable pieces of shit... But NOW many are back over their on and over-extended stay as adult men that traded their future for a free-ride through school! (the reservists did, and the nat-guard guys, but I acknowledge than the active-service sign-up paid for their school with the work they did during the  time they served... Again, a perfect example of how everyone serving is not AUTOMATICALLY a self-sacrificing hero, like you'd have us to believe!

Now those same classmates of mine are stuck over in Iraq, their families are miserable at home without them, and I'll bet most would go back and say NO to the recruiter if they could, but (unlike you) they just quietly do the job they signed up for, and will come home someday and go back to whatever is left of their lives when they return... And I'll bet I'll never hear a word about the war, and if I ask, I'll bet they'll change the subject!

I've made a few "observations" of people too... Usually the guys that wear their military service on their sleave, and wag their medals in my face usually did the LEAST when they did serve and were disliked by their fellow soldiers...

It is just a job, not an "adventure"!

If you fired someone for any reason of mutiny on the job, then that's your right as an employer, and if you made it clear to them that "offensive language" would not be tolerated on the job and they disobeyed that, I have no problem with that, but if you are referring to firing someone for non-job related expressions that they did not make on company time, then you are out of line and over-stepping your bounds as an employer!

I agree, not much "real work" would get done in this country at an affordable cost without Hispanic workers, I've hired some myself in the past and always got good value...

I'll have you know that I use whatever language is appropriate for the situation... Obviously I don't call a potential client by a foul name or derogatory refrence to his race or religion... But I MIGHT use a vulgar word or two if he refuses to pay me when work is complete, and I may even refer to him as a "no good dirty so and so", if someone asks me my opinion... I don't consider it wrong to use whatever language the situation calls for, but I also don't use such language in the wrong situations...

I've never had a problem that resulted in court or economic an setback to to "hate-speech", but also I do not and have not worked in the overly-PC corporate-environment that you must work under... These things you mention don't have much meaning in self-employed independent-life...

I love this country too, I do not consider it a "debt" to America that must be paid by military service...

Depending on what type of conflict our country were to face, and what cause was being fought for, I would serve/not serve... I'm neither pro-military or anti-military, but if drafted I would run! I do not believe in a forced-military!
America is a great country underneath this PC/liberal/humanist veneer that has been shellacked over what we once were, and America was built upon the foundations of Biblical truth...

Too bad our foundation has been chipped away while we were asleep!  I just hate what the PC-clowns like you have turned America into in recent years, and the fucking tax-n-spend crowd, and the regulate everything crowd, and the socialist redistribution/welfare crowd, ect, ect...)
