When my little  sister was a senior, two weeks before graduation ,  I came home for a week end visit  to find  her boyfriend the soccer star had just left .
 He had  knocked her around , breaking  her nose .  She refused  to call the police . Wasn't the first time, it was the worst .
  I went straight to his home with only my fists ,  with  the  intention of inflicting  severe damage . I had planned to  grab him by the hair when he answered the door and beat his nose  to mush on the  frame,   hoping she won't like his new look .
 He answered the door with a barrel in my face .
I left without calling the cops . I doubt he called  .
 I'll never know , he walked out of a bar two nights  later   , a car ran over him .  

 The results from your amateur study  are incomplete .  Think about  the millions of  times  weapons were used , without being fired ,to diffuse a situation that could easily get out of hand .

 Forget about  suicides by guns . If guns aren't available they can do suicide by Vodka or water , without much effort  .
