the wives to walk behind the heads of state.  If the head of state is a woman, then her husband would walk beside Melania and she would walk beside Trump.  Camilla was not where she was supposed to be, and I think Trump was trying to prevent her making a gaffe, or having one of the bystanders touch her (You are not supposed to touch a British Royal unless they initiate it) but I agree it was clumsy-looking the way he did it.

I am surprised the "liberal brain trust" on didn't go off on how Melania wouldn't "hold his hand" during pictures.   When in Royal pictures it isn't "proper" to hold hands or show affection.    You watch a video she lets go of his hand while pictures are taken.... then grabs it again.    All the while Trump is trying to engage her to hold his hand.    Melania knows these things..... DONNIE doesn't.

Trump was GRIFTING to sell more "USA 45-47" Trump branded golf hats on the Trump merch site by refusing to take off the golf hat during the ceremony. Even righties criticized Trump for failing to show respect to the fallen by refusing to remove his hat. There were several observers, left and right and neutral (military), that said they couldn't remember anyone NOT removing their hat to show respect at these ceremonies. What do you expect of someone who has no respect for those who serve ("What's in it for them?"), refused to visit the D-Day cemetery in France because it was drizzling, and who, TOTALLY AGAINST THE RULES, used the burial of soldier at Arlington National Cemetery as a photo op to use in a campaign ad?

Trump done that was, or is, not calculated to leave The U.S. and its citizens better off?    On the issues, he's just following the polls, which in most instances are 80-20, and Trump has remained on the side of the 80% of Americans.   The 20% support is made up of the far-left Democrats, who are also the loudest, so the PERCEPTION that these issue have support among rank-and-file Americans is greater than the reality, BECAUSE of the noise coming from the left.

And yet, here we are with skyrocketing gas prices, the price of other goods soaring and no end in sight. DOGE failed to deliver anything like the savings that were promised. So no bonus check for Americans as Trump said. He also slammed the economy with his tariffs and then got slammed by the Supreme Court. Now his giving back the tariff money to companies but, again, no bonus checks for Americans like he said he'd do.
