Even to be admitting there's a discussion going on is to be admitting he might drop out.
It certainly could happen. But I'll believe it when I see it.

If he is staying in the race, why would he need to discuss that with his family? Starting to worry yet, Republicans? lol.

Even to be admitting there's a discussion going on is to be admitting he might drop out.
It certainly could happen. But I'll believe it when I see it.

I don’t see Kristen Welker (NBC Meet The Press) and the other NBC journalists who contributed to this story putting  their names on the byline if they didn’t feel these sources were solid.

“The decision-makers are two people — it’s the president and his wife,” one of the sources familiar with the discussions said, adding: “Anyone who doesn’t understand how deeply personal and familial this decision will be isn’t knowledgeable about the situation.”

This account of a president and his party in crisis just a little more than four months before an election they say will determine the fate of democracy is drawn from interviews with more than a dozen Democratic officials, operatives, aides and donors. All of them spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to describe matters as sensitive as whether a sitting president might give up his re-election bid and how he could be replaced on the ballot

The New York Times, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Jill Biden’s ex-husband all calling for Joe to drop out. Everybody is piling on.

"The Dr. Jill Biden who I’ve seen on TV in the last five years is not the same person I married or that I recognize in any way," Stevenson lamented. "She’s matriculated into a completely different woman."
"I just don’t understand why she is so adamant about defending him and keeping him in the race since it appears that he’s struggling," Stevenson said. "It appears that he’s struggling with everybody these days.

"I’ve been proud of her at certain moments. I have no hard feelings. … I’m just surprised to see her front and center in the middle of this battle after flying under the radar for so many years. She’s always been very driven. People say she’s the one who wants to be president now."

The Biden camp wanted that family meeting leaked. No doubt. It is the first real sign he is walking away. Choosing his replacement is the issue and I fully believe that is being discussed now. They have some time here. July 8 is when the holiday weekend is officially over and people start paying attention again. That gives them a week to sort this all out. I say Kamala walks away with Joe. We'll see.

This was taken post debate. The numbers are staggering. Joe is toast. Michelle, the presidency is calling. Pick up the phone.

If there is anything the Biden's know, it's how to enrich themselves. It's late Sunday night and the supposed family confab has come and gone with no sign of Biden dropping out.  Clearly the bidding by the desperate Democrats hasn't peaked. Come on Dems, raise your bids. None of this nickel and dime stuff.
