Not only we will not be allowed to produce our own oil, not only will we be forced to sacrifice 20% of our corn harvest to the boondoggle called ethanol. Now your fearless leader wants to feed the entire fucking world on our taxes, the bill for this will start at .07% of every dollar made in this country.

My question for you bleeding heart libs, do you actually support this wealth redistribution program???

The dirty bastard believes it is time for America to pay up for its transgressions so he can be proud of bilking the honkies for what he believes is their long overdue punishment. It is high time that communism be tried since socialism has not been a shining success. What a piece of shit he is.

This is the amount spent my Western countries since 1960, with the majority coming from the U.S. What do we have to show for it? I believe the .07% of GDP was originally conceived back in the early 1970s.

No doubt some of that aid will be targeted for Zimbabwe. Before Mugabe, Zimbabwe was the food basket for Africa. Africa is riddled with despots, and another $2.6T will not make an impact.

Remember how the early U.S. activists banned the use of DDT in Africa. Now Malaria is the biggest killer in Africa. After 30 years, they are reintroducing DDT.

The best option is to send a few corporate U.S. farmers, along with Monsanto, Potash, and the other AG plays, and teach the assholes how to grow and distribute some fucking food.

Teach em how to distribute some food in THIS country while you're at it.

It is going to take more than teaching some assholes how to grow and distribute some food. First it will take a major effort at teaching the assholes some self respect, some respect for others, and the concept of honor. If Hussein was really interested in doing something other than being the tyrant of America he could  return to his roots and see if he can succeed in trying to bring some of those assholes into at least the 13th century. But no, Osama Hussein thinks his destiny is getting back at America. Like I said, he is a piece of shit.

He just want to be POTUS.

Recession, you haven't seen nothing yet. Wait till this moron gets in there. Hope not.

His surrogates are as clueless as he is. I saw this lady talking about Wind Mills and Solar Power to solve our immediate energy crisis. I wanted to throw a chair at her.

And amazingly, the less intellectually endowed among conservatives would STILL sit around with their thumbs up their ass rather than vote for McCain. Ensuring that this naive, inexperienced, utterly unfit lunatic will be given the opportunity to wreck our economy and our security, while boring a hole directly through our wallets.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

My 20 year old daughter is home from college. Tonight we went out to dinner and discussed  school and current events. My first question was the political leanings of her recent professors. My daughter looked at me and laughed, and said, "Dad come on, what do you think?" "Of course their views are slanted to the left, but do you think I really buy into that garbage? Give me a little more credit."

I then asked my daughter about her friends and other students view of Obama, and whether they attend any of the rallies. "Yes Dad, some of them do attend the rallies, and yes some of them are enamored with Obama and his sound bytes." I then mentioned to my daughter that Obama is counting on the youth vote to win. "Dad, most of these students haven't voted in any election since turning 18. I doubt they will even complete and mail in an absentee ballot considering most of the students will be away from home during the election. Dad, we are too busy focusing on our classes and going to parties. Dad, don't worry, young voters didn't vote in the past, and it won't change this year, at least at SDSU."

Sins - I am an Independent. I despise both parties equally, but trust me on this, every independent I know will not vote for Obama. They will vote for McCain, and not that he is the best candidate, but to ensure Obama is not elected. Independents, who are the silent majority, will determine this election.

ya know, maybe it's this simple ; a vote for McCain is a vote for GWBush's 3rd term, and a vote of Obama is a vote for Jimmy Carter's 2nd term.

take your pick.

--during the Bush administration under a Republican Congress. Those commitments included dollar numbers (see #8). Either integrity stops at the border, or words mean things only until they're translated.

It also quotes one of Bush's funnier gaffes:

"We fight against poverty because hope is an answer to terror. We fight against poverty because opportunity is a fundamental right to human dignity. We fight against poverty because faith requires it and conscience demands it. We fight against poverty with a growing conviction that major progress is within our reach."

Imagine! Bush being further left than Chairman Meow, while showering everyone with tax cuts and probing them with economic simulators.

Sigh. Unfortunately, words mean things.

Then they cite facts about US Security policy; that part of its declared strategy is to fight terrorism by reducing poverty worldwide.

To sum up: your government has been making commitments of a "Great World Society" all through the Bush Administration. They just haven't written most of the checks. So, either words mean things, or lying is, in fact, very moral when money is at stake.

But in my considered opinion, you do not have to worry. What a politician thinks is possible on the campaign for President says nothing about what he discovers is possible once he is sitting in the Oval Office. A Presidential campaign is make-believe on promises. Since it looks like Obama might be able to pull this off, he must be getting grandiose thinking of all the wonderful things he'll do. Hopefully, somebody pulls him back to earth.

Then there's what happens to the bill before it ever lays on the POTUS's desk. In committee, it still has to be edited, amended, studied, referred to subcommittee for abuse, reported back to committed, given the rinse and repeat, then passed to and amended on the floor of the Senate, sent to conference for further whiteout, cut and paste.

Then it's signed into law, and it has to be appropriated. Since tax-cutters have demonstrated that the dollar amount in the bill has no bearing on what's appropriated, Expect the aid to be much punier than the worst case scenario: .07% of every dollar? More like .007% or .0007%.

And even if it is a Democratic Congress and Democratic POTUS, they know the rule: it's the people over here, not the ones over there, who vote for or against you. If we continue in economic distress, world aid won't go over well. Even without it, at the end, in my considered opinion, you'd need a microscope to see it in our Federal Budget.

This coming from Zinaval, the biggest liar this board has ever seen.

Why don't you make good on your promise and stay retired? You should consider taking up politics yourself, you've got the part of "just plain old making shit up to make a point" part down pat already, that along with the fact that the truth means nothing to you should ensure a long and successful career in politics.

It would be nice, just for once, that we concentrated on taking care of our own. That should be our first priority, not supporting countries who later will probably become our enemies.
