1) The Iraqi Parliament has voted to throw all US troops out of the country, limiting our ability to control events there and combat ISIS, which was already rebuilding. Not to mention that it makes it easier for Iran to increase its influence in Iraq, which was already considerable.
2) The US-led coalition has been forced to suspend its offensive activities against ISIS and go into a purely defensive mode. ISIS will rebuild more quickly now.
3) Iran has just walked away from its nuclear deal and will no longer limit its enrichment of uranium. It is back on a fast track to build a nuclear weapon.
So here's the scorecard so far:
1) There's one less major dirtbag around to target us and our allies, which is a good thing.
2) The major dirtbag's employer is now further empowered in the region and we're being thrown out of the country right next door. AND our hands have been tied in fighting a major terrorist group. AND the major dirtbag's employer is back to building nukes.
Sounds like we're on the short end in a big way, thanks to a leader who is impulsive and clueless.
THANKS, Don!
First of all, the vote in Parliament isn't even binding. And we only have about 5,000 troops there and almost all of them are in advisory roles. If and when we do leave in total, I would bet it would be VERY slowly and with a few deals cut between Iraq and the U.S. The Iraqis no more want ISIS back there then we do.
If you remember from that GREAT Iranian deal, there were MANY parts of it that would have allowed them to cheat and right under our nose. Remember the 24 day rule the inspectors had to wait? Remember the ingenious part where the terrorists get to "self inspect"? Remember the part that if the Iranians proclaimed a certain site was of a military nature, we couldn't go there at all? And that's not bringing into account all the secret side deals that fucking no one knew about.
All Obama did was kick the can down the road and that's IF the Iranians weren't cheating. He himself said Iran would get the bomb eventually bc he was such a pussy and caved by tossing them billions of money to fund all their terrorist activities by signing off on that wretched deal.
Relax Nick. Trump's got this one. ![]()
The head of the Iraqi government is highly likely, sources say, to sign what the parliament passed, making it the LAW.
I also see you have no answer to this:
"About 5,200 troops in Iraq and several hundred in Syria are now focused on fortifying their outposts instead of pursuing remnants of the Islamic State and training local forces."
As for the Iran nuke deal, nice job of ignoring the FACT that there has been NO proof Iran had violated the deal even after we spurned it. Now it's full speed ahead.
Dolt.
Dumbass Obama put SO many ways in there for them to cheat, we could NEVER find out!!!!!
In other words, you don't know shit. As usual. AND you have ZERO to say about ALL the other points I made.
Intellectually bankrupt as usual, Hack.
You just pissed yourself with your Dim talking points you just failed to see them. Now go mimic Laffy's talking points again. It's been minutes and you are overdue. LMAO!
There are no other talking points on this thread. So you've got zip.
As usual.
their compliance with the JCPOA was twice certified by ….drum roll… the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION. That’s the gold standard, Jack. Let’s look at how detailed and specific that certification was:
Under INARA, the president is required to issue a certification to Congress every 90 days that makes a determination on the four areas listed below. If the president determines that any one of these criteria is not being met, the president may choose not to issue the certification. The four conditions are:
a. Iran is fully implementing the JCPOA,
b. Iran has not committed a material breach,
c. Iran has not taken any action that could significantly advance a nuclear weapons program, and
d. Suspension of sanctions is appropriate and proportionate to the measures taken by Iran and vital to U.S. national security interests.
Plus the UN inspectors also certified compliance 9 or 10 times. Of course, I suspect Iran has started a rush nuclear bomb program after the Soleimani assassination.
Starting to have second thoughts about the Soleimani assassination now? Relax. Just remember, as Sec Pompeo said yesterday, “the world is a much safer place today “ than before we killed him.
Only, if you are in Iraq, get the hell out now, says the State Department – it just isn’t safe.
The UN inspectors were VERY VERY limited in their inspections due to all the measures in the Iranian deal that I listed to Nick so there is NO WAY they could fully verify Iran was in compliance now could they? And did you forget that another brilliant point Obama caved on was not allowing ANY of the inspectors be Americans? Hmmmmm....
You REALLY dont think the terrorist regime cheated? I guess you believe them when they tell you that Islam forbids them from building the bomb? LOL
And I see you ran away when I asked if Obama "murdered" anyone with drone strikes like you claimed Trump did. Wanna try to answer that THIS time or will you run away again?
You seem convinced Iran cheated. So put up or shut up. Show us some proof they did. Or shut up. Then we'll know you were just blowing smoke out of your ass.
As usual.
Ah, let's look at the bigger picture. You're supporting a known terrorist county whose leader denies the holocaust.
Again, your tiny little mind is getting lost behind a tree, and not seeing the forest. Next you'll be supporting Kim Jung Il and North Korea because they aren't violating any nuclear treaties. They're just innocently testing missiles.
Nicki the communist.
PS: Being able to see the negative impact of what the Orange Idiot did is NOT the same as supporting Iran. I actually hate Iran, dimwit.
Talk about a tiny mind. You have about as much cranial capacity as a flea.
You're a terrorist muslim lover. Your pro Iran support is the same thing. I love how you always resort to insults versus facts.
You're anti America and anti-american. Go back to the country you came from where you can bash on America with impunity.
Keep on displaying your stupidity and total lack of game.
We get it. It's hard to be tough when you prance around in black panties.
Thanks for all your "facts." ROFL
the only reason to be in Iraq is a faster strike time to Iran, but we are still close enough to Iran from our bases in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Emirates, Turkey and Jordan to launch strike missions into Iran and return on one fillup of jet fuel, even though we also have a huge airborne refueling capacity.
I am glad this guy is dead too, but I just dont trust Trump with the aftermath of whatever the next move will be by the Iranians. I also smell some "wag the dog" going on here as well.
