Dems keep Nancy

They decided to double down on the incompetent and triple down on the establishment when the public HATES the establishment at the moment.

How do you think she will play in the Ohio, PA, Michigan, Wisconsin suburbs and rural areas where Dems have to rebuild?

An uber left, old, establishment type is the LAST thing those middle class voters would want to here from now. Tim Ryan was the perfect choice and they blew it.

Dems either still in denial or just so out of touch with what this election should have taught them.

I cant imagine any of the sane libs here will be ok with this news.

The fact that he mounted a serious challenge, getting about a third of the votes, I guess could be taken as a sign that some Dems at least are coming to their senses.

Keep in mind the Dems have been quite gleeful in recent years and even recent months about the impending end of the GOP only to end up with a LOT of egg on their faces. Righties should learn from those mistakes and resist the urge to get TOO cocky.

But yeah, Pelosi is yet another old cunt, just like Hillary who's time has hopefully passed, but unfortunately the PTB in the Democratic Party aren't any more willing to pass the torch than the Establishment Republicans who fought tooth and nail to keep Trump on the outside looking in, much to their chagrin.

His positions were identical to hers. Voted for ACA and all major Dem "priorities" of Obama's early years. He really wasn't a change agent, just younger. He won't even run for re-election in 2 years I'd wager. Their willingness to hang onto power at any cost is staggering but fun to watch.

Yep, you read that right, it's 11% and has stayed in the public outhouse for most of the past 8 years. I consider this an epic failure on the part of the GOP leadership.

Oh wait, the voters didn't kick the GOP out of office, now did they?

Maybe these approval ratings don't mean as much as you seem to wish they did. Keep in mind, Hillary ran as a third term of an "apparently" very popular Barrack Obama, and look what happened.

Figures don't lie, but liars certainly figure.

The GOP was told they better do something drastically different or be swept into political obscurity, well Donald Trump is about as different as you can get and the GOP now controls the White House, the Senate and The House. If the Dems are going to recover, it's not going to be by pointing the finger at the GOP and whining "look how unpopular they are" "How could they have possibly beaten us?" Not to mention calling the voters stupid doesn't work for either party, it didn't work in '08 or '12 when the voters really were stupid IMHO, and it won't work now.

The worst news for the Dems is that if Latinos, Blacks, Asians, et al find their lives getting better due to an improved economy, in spite of all the rhetoric to the contrary, they might decide all on their own that a good job beats the handout the Dems are promising all to hell. THAT should be the biggest fear of the DNC, what happens when all the people of color find out just how badly the Democratic Party has been lying to them all these years?

The approval rating is for CONGRESS, and NOT the House.

And the peeps just voted to give the R's their biggest majority since 1928.

Dems control absolutely NOTHING right now. Not the Senate, not the House, not the WH, not the governorships, not the state legislators....NOTHING.

And yet it is GOP leadership that has failed. Oh, ok. lol.

Carry on.

........they have voted to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, 50 times. Isn't this the very definition of insanity? Is it any wonder why the House approval rating is in the crapper

This moderate-to-liberal Democrat is extremely unhappy with the selection of Pelosi as House Minority Leader...severe disappointment!!!

Her and Pelosi are cut from the same cloth.

The GOP had their ass handed to them in '08 and '12, they needed to do something "different" and you can't get any different than Donald J Trump. The Dems can't expect someone like Pelosi to learn any new tricks after all these years. Horrible news for as you say the "moderate to liberal" Democrat. I really can't see anyone, except perhaps the "power elite" of the DNC happy about this.
