This coming from Steve Schmidt who ran Mccain's '08 campaign; he said this while being interviewed by Rachel Maddow.

Speaking of Maddow, a digression :

Q: What is the difference between a bull dyke & a rogue elephant ?

A: The elephant doesn't wear a flannel shirt.

Back to subject at hand : 1/31 Fla primary is PIVOTAL; whoever wins that has big leg up on securing nomination. Keep in mind that Fla is winner take all & only Republicans can vote in that primary.

That will ensure that leadup to primary will be incredibly fucking nasty with "GOP establishment" ( aka Romney ) throwing kitchen sink at Newt. Gingrich can lock up Fla. IF Santorum bails out prior to primary ( not outta question; Newt & Rick were giving each other "tini-mrng" Valentine's day compliments yesterday-----:(     )

I gotta admit fucking fascinated by all this-----then again, have always been fascinated by-----

ROFLMFAO!!! Yur fucking wrong thar. I didnt need no school anywhar ROFL!!

at least when it comes to the GOP primary. It means whoever's left will be a weaker candidate in the general.

BTW, Pria, I wouldn't make fun of Maddow. She's smarter than both of us combined.

Priapus531093 reads

& bro, unlike you, I'm politically incorrect & make fun of everyone on every side of political/sexual spectrum. I didn't hear you protest when I made fun of Tim Tebow's "orientation".

Maddow smarter than me ?! Speak for yourself dude-------:)

Also, Willy, been to any "necktie parties" lately ?-------:(

"Wishy-washy" my ass------LMFAO !

The difference is that Tebow is a dumbshit, and Maddow is smarter than anyone on this board. The only person here who can hold a candle to her is John.

Pria, of course you're wishy washy. You're not on board with nuking the Middle East. :D

condescending and arrogant bitch with the personality and likability of a garbage dump.

Just because you don't like her politics is no reason to call her a bitch. Condescending and arrogant? That's so completely unfounded that I don't know where you got it from. I could see snarky. Long-winded, even. But condescending and arrogant?

they want politically.

But her arrogance ranks right up there with Olbermann and O'Reilly and her condescending attitude is worse than both of those guys combined.

She spiels off this long-winded message every night and does so in a tone that intentionally tries to tell you the listener that you are below her and she is telling you what is right because she knows all.

Yeah,m she's smart.  Yeah, she can articulate.  But her opinion of herself is even bigger than the bloated U.S. government that pays for your existence . . . . .

Willy, I have to say that's setting the bar awfully low for Maddcow.

You can't tee them up like that and not expect people to take a swing.

So far things have been more like a pillow fight, but now the gloves will really come off. It's started already (see link). It hurts Romney that Jeb Bush hasn't endorsed him, and not so much Gingrich, because few people would expect Jeb to endorse him.

Paul or Santorum will drop out prior to Fla. Paul may after a poor showing in Fla but even that is not likely. Santorum is thinking the Republican faithful will realize Newt can't win the general and Romney won't be able to unite the party.

Romney will try and sell himself as more conservative than his record, pro business and jobs if he's smart. SC should have told him Newt's personal life isn't going to give him an issue.

He should say: "Hell yes I've been successful, do you want to hire a looser for President." "I pay every dime in taxes the IRS tax laws demand. How many politicians, businessmen or citizens over pay taxes on April 15th.

The more money citizens send to Wash. DC the more crony capitalisms they buy."

He has already given up in Florida and will only be there to participate in the two debates. He is going to start making appearances in upcoming caucus states where more of his believers live.

"Picking myself up by my own boot straps" that is getting him in trouble. He should be more like the Roosevelt's and Rockefeller, and not pretend to be unprivileged.

And, I don't think American is wanting to vote for a loser. The issue, from a populist stand point, is not one of being a winner vs. a loser, but how did you win and was it fairly, and at what advantage did you start with.

Fairly or unfairly, he is taking hits at being a venture capitalist.  Fareed Zakaria, today on GPS, had on David Rubenstein of the Carlyle Group, and he did a good job at clarifying the value of those companies working in private equities. So, there's nothing evil in the nature of the beast. The criticism is more about his approach.

Ya, that's where I want to work! And, the pay is so great! Not really a great sales pitch if you ask me! Adjusting for the cost of living and inflation, with was making more in a factory doing piece work, while still a senior in high school, than most of those guys make at Staples.

JLWest1446 reads

better to have jobs building the Keystone pipeling. Oh wait. the fucking POTUS and Hildabeast are killing those jobs.

With the choice the Staples workers have they should quit and fucking starve on food stamps.

"With the choice the Staples workers have they should quit and fucking starve on food stamps." I just think it's a very weak argument.  And, I guess if you can say Obama and Clinton are killing those jobs, you can say the same thing about the Republican held House, particularly Tea Party Republicans, that they are killing infrastructure jobs.

JLWest2983 reads

Hell it won't even create a shovel ready job.

Obama first stimulus package was so bad he couldn't even get enough votes from his own party to get anything thru. I don't blame the "Tea Party" for rejecting his job programs after that and the Solyndra 1/2 billion job creation.

I will give him this: He's good with food stamps and unemployment benefits. Job creation, Not so much.

has made a sincere effort to create any jobs, with the approval rating they have?

Yes, many of the infrastructure jobs are not shovel ready, however they are needed, and the work needs to be done whether it's this year, next year or several years down the road.

JLWest1923 reads

It's the management and funding that I'm not sure, no make that no faith at all, that this adminisration can pull off.

And I won't agrue the congressional ratings, supprised they are as high as they are.

and I can imagine there are plenty of others, with my same experience, chuckling at Christie's remark.
