Those charged with misdemeanors aren’t facing jail time

Many of those charged with more serious crimes will likely avoid jail time if they are first time offenders who cooperate and plead guilty.The prosecutors are focusing the majority of their resources on prosecuting the rabble who actually assaulted police officers, pleading down to misdemeanors others. For example, the Pennsylvania woman who was caught on video saying was charged with a misdemeanor and won’t do time.

There’s plenty of outrage on the far left about this specific riot, but the reality is that it’s legally not much different from the George Floyd riots last summer, where over 1,000 officers were injured, scores died, and billions of dollars of property damage was incurred.

Poor Chickenshit can't tell the difference between very regrettable riots. that legitimately should be condemned, and an armed insurrection that invaded the seat of our government in order stop the certification of a national election and murder lawmakers.

The protest at the capitol which resulted in the capitol building being breached was just like the left's claims about the demonstrations over the summer, peaceful till they weren't.

Heres the deal. The Left held up that the demonstration and riots of 2020 as "ok" because their constituents were doing it and whitewashed those events 15 ways to Sunday.  Chris Cuomo "Who Says protests have to be peaceful" Kamal Harris "they are not going to stop nor should they" I could go on ad nasum.  

The capitol hill protest that resulted in the events of January 6? HELL the left is secretly down on their Knees Thanking GOD for giving them the riots so they can "smite their enemies" Ok maybe not thanking god because a bunch are atheists, but they are so glad it happened they can't see straight because now it gives them endless ammo in the war of words with the media.  

Yeah the capitol hill riot was bad and I condemn it but it wasn't the great boogaloo that you're making it out to be (and will continue to do so!)

There is ZERO equivalence between the riots of the summer and the Capitol Hill insurrection. Not everyone who attended the Trump rally went to the Capitol and not everyone who went there tried to breach the building. But they ALL were summoned by Trump (Come to Washington. It will be wild!), were then incited by Trump (You've got to fight) and then by his cronies (Taking names and kicking ass; Let's have trial by combat!), after which thousands of them swarmed up to the Capitol and about a thousand of them broke into the Capitol. It's all on tape.
And "the left" did not hold up the riots as OK. Most Democrats condemned the riots while making a distinction between the rioters/looters and the majority who were peaceful protesters.
So there were peaceful protesters on both sides. But only the Trump supporters breached and trashed the national capitol and tried to stop the certification of our election.

There’s really no point in trying to rebut a complete dodge, because anyone that follows this board knows that all you do is comeback with another dodge. Your initial answer pointed out the many similarities between the riots, but you concluded “zero equivalence”.  We are just left with agreeing to disagree.

The entire "planned insertion" argument falls flat on its face! NO ONE brought firearms into the capitol and shot anyone. NOR did they disarm any capitol police and use their firearms to shoot anyone! Nor did they actually harm any congress persons. In the end, they didn't kill anyone, and despite the screams of "they beat a capital policeman to death...

 The county medical examiner ruled his death natural causes. More protesters died than anyone else. So if it was a planned insurrection?  

WHY DIDN'T A TAKEOVER OF THE GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY HAPPEN?  

Here's why? That wasn't the underlying intent.  Plenty of manpower was present to have overwhelmed the capitol police and commit murder I promise... but it just didn't happen.

and the MSM running around with  their hair on fire for four months, from a strictly criminal standpoint, January 6th was a nothing-burger.  Property damage was collectively a couple of million, compared to a billion-plus in BLM-Antifa riots last summer.  Last summer, guys throwing Molotov cocktails towards police were not even charged with misdemeanors.

A good chunk of the 30 million is the Security that has been added. NO way 30 million in damages was done to the capital building itself.  

In other news AXIOS estimates the 2020 riots total to be between 1 Billion to 2 Billion in damages.

Brett Blanton testified at a House Appropriations Committee Hearing that the $30 million is to repair the damages caused by your buddies on 1/6.  MY link which you also cited also says: "House Lawmakers have already approved $30 million to address the expenses described by Blanton."  What part of that quote don't you understand?

 
Architect of the Capitol J. Brett Blanton also said more money would likely be needed, especially if his office needs to renew contracts to continue the fencing past March 31.  The article was from February 24.  If the total repair cost was only $2 million, don't you think we would have known that by now?

This one guy,Christopher Alberts,was charged with carrying a gun and ammunition on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol building on January 6th. And I'm sure there were more who were packing, they just weren't caught...so does this count as an Insurrection? Technically it does..so I guess you and Leo Gohmert are wrong?

I haven't been able to find out if Christopher Alberts entered the capital building and the fact that all the news reports say he was on capitol grounds is the left-wing slant of implying he was in Nancy Pelosi's office waving his weapon around!!! Except he wasn't. NOW did he draw the weapon? Brandish it in a threatening manner? Shoot capitol policemen? any congressperson? Humm just looked it up NOPE, HE DIDINT!

So You're sure that there were more protesters that were packing? Then if they were? AND hell bent on taking  over the goverment... why didn't they pull them out? Kill the Capitol Police and then members of Congress? THAT would have counted as an Insurrection.  But since that didint happen your claims of insurection are wrong.  

Your question of what would have happened if rioters had found Vice President Pence? Plain and simply, If the Secret Service had felt the rioters were ANY kind of a  threat, the rioters would have been Deader than Fried Chicken! End of discussion. The secret service is more than capable and ready to defend their charges.  

Why did they go in you ask? Since I wasn't there I am betting it was idiots caught up in the moment NOT a coordinated assault ordered buy President Trump as you all wish so fervantly that was the case. History has born out that it  was NOT an actual takeover of the government.  

So if the protesters werent using firearms  why did one of the Cops shoot a protester? My personal theroy is he was Barny Fife, jumped the gun and killed an unarmed girl becuse he was a complete fucking pussy! He looked like he panicked and when the gun actually went off he probably pissed himself. The way he stood there with the gun overextended, gripping and regripping the pistol, you don't do that BTW, its bad skill at arms. He completly FAILED to Issue any verbal commands to stop... ran out from behind his cover and pulled the trigger ambush style. COMPLETE Failure for the use of deadly force.  If he had been ANY kind of real cop he could have easily subdued her. He should be charged just like any other cop who shoots an unarmed person. But he won't be. ON TOP of all this, there was a full-blown tac team Armed with better weaponry than my Marines carried on our THIRD tour in Iraq, RIGHT behind her!! If she was that big of a threat they could have stopped her.  

Let me say one more time. THESE PEOPLE should not have breached the capital building it just doesn't add up to me that you're going to break in with that ferocity then do... basically vandalism and selfies? This whole thing has just never made sense to me. I've seen mobs overseas overrun actual armed and trained soldiers and they meant deadly business, these guys were... the were like tourists not the terrorists you all want them to be.
