We've already seen Blather and Jennings go on the record (PBS I believe) as saying "in the field", thay are journalist first and Americans second. Hence they would watch and record our troops being ambushed.

I was frankly taken aback by the implications of Hersch's piece.

I am so sick of hearing the right wing talk about people being "Americans first" and [insert whatever group, profession, bla, bla, bla the person is here] second.

They never mention in which order anybody is a HUMAN BEING.

I say THEY are the ones who are REPUBLICANS first above everything else including being an American. They are such hippocrates. They are guilty of the very things they so consistently accuse others of.

With the way this country is headed I'd rather be referred to as a HUMAN BEING who happans to be an American. To the right wing that probably makes me a commnunist.

Now just watch how they attack me for this with a bunch of complete nonsense. I'm sure this quaifies me as UnAmerican & unpatriotic.

A fool ? Why, because he doesn't buy into the ``love America or leave it'' propoganda.  That he cares about others.  While I don't have the precise definition of ``fool'' handy, I am fairly sure that those who are easily led often share a common simple[ton] trait.  So, he is at least NOT what I would consider a ``lower level fool''.

While your first post may have been too nice, your last post could have been more generous (at least your consistent - converging to a common theme).

My first post stated that he had every right as an American to say what he thinks, but he wasn't helping his argument by wildly ranting and raving. Then, I was directed to this post by BK:

After some examination, I changed my mind about his mental acuity. But, he's still an American and has every right to make a fool of himself.
