People, today, are not comparing the economy under Trump to the one under Obama. They are comparing the current economy with the one four years ago. A majority of peeps think they had it better in 2020 than in 2024. Every poll shows that.

You and I know there are a host of reasons for that outside of the Biden/Harris administration (inflation spiked due to Covid, the Russian/Ukraine war, etc) but sometimes it is just as simple as "4 years ago, pretty good...today, not as good."

Thats the biggest problem for Team Haris right not, and that is the perception, rightfully or wrongfully, that the middle class feels it was doing better under Trump.

Because Covid hit in early 2020. And, honestly, it would have hit us hard no matter who was Prez. It's just that Trump, by fucking it up worse than any other world leader, made a bad situation much more harmful, both to people and the economy. He was his own worst enemy. He discouraged people from wearing masks, made it harder to have enough PPE, encouraged stupid people to do things like drink cleaner and take hydroxychloroquin (like Wanker), and so on.
Remember "it will be gone in the Spring?"  
Remember how he created doubts about the vaccine that he actually deserves some credit for? (just not all the credit).
Remember his little garden party for Barrett that was a super-spreader event?
How he helped almost killed Chris Christie and DID kill Herman Cain, who went to a super-spreader rally with no mask?
And so on...
What a douche.

Yeah, I remember arguing on this very forum pointing out during COVID that Sweden had the least restrictions and was having the least deaths.  ALL the liberals here were completely wrong and said Sweden was irresponsible and would end up needlessly killing millions unless they did extreme lockdowns like the liberals insisted.
