Here's something to chew on (and my apologies if it's already been posted here):

"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood.

But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.

It works the same in any country."

– Hermann Goering at the Nuremberg Trials (Commander of the Luftwaffe, President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Police Gestapo & Marshal of the German Empire, Hitler's 2nd man in the Third Reich)

committed us to going into Iraq: "All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."

Also, it's the same leaders that threat the common man or woman, that if they, the leaders are taxed more, more jobs will be lost.

And NOBODY KNEW what was coming next.

Remember, your hero the street instigator, sent 40 SEALs in to get OBL on a 50/50 shot he was even there. There was at the very least a 50/50 shot SH had WMD.

All you need to do is look at the criticism leveled at Bush for "not doing anything to prevent 9/11 in light of the famous Aug PDB" to imagine what criticism he would have faced had he done nothing about SH's purported WMD.

We already know how hypocritical the Traitorcrats have been since their boy took office, we're still in Iraq, Afghanistan, now in Labia. Still got Gitmo open, still doing wiretaps. Still borrowing money from the Chinese in even greater sums than before.

The Surge worked even though every fucking Traitorcrat said it wouldn't and prayed for it's failure.

Yes, we were attacked. And yes, Bush went in after those that did it. And Obama finished the deed.

Unfortunately, that isn't the rest of the story! It's what happened here at home that I'm pissed off about.

People of all political parties and none are called traitors for not supporting Bush and ALL his shenanigans. We're told we're unpatriotic if we stood up and told Bush and his cronies (and now if we stand up against Obama and his cronies) that we didn't/don't want the so-called Patriot Act or the rape of our freedoms and so on.

That's what makes this old observation so hellishly relevant today. Every time I turn around, I hear "Terrorist! Terrorist!" It's as bad as the McCarthy era and his going after the communists!

I'm probably in some database as a terrorist because I refuse to bow down to stupid dictates!
