I suppose the defense of George W.'s incoherent policy on stem cells, and subsequent "first-time-ever" veto could drive anyone to distraction and/or flight.

Arthur Caplan, Ph.D., wrote an incisive commentary on the stem cell debate. Here is how his essay begins on MSNBC.com (see link below):

"...President Bush’s embryonic stem cell policy began with lies and has now ended with one.  

Bush reserved his first veto as president for one of the only valuable things this do-almost-nothing Congress has managed to actually get done.  

With a flourish of a veto pen that has remained dormant no matter how dopey Congress has been, the Senate bill allowing public funding of embryonic stem cell research has been consigned to the legislative trash can.

An administration that has shown itself over and over again to have trouble telling the truth is now telling Americans in wheelchairs, those with damaged hearts, babies who are diabetic and those left immobile by Parkinsonism not to worry. The president, whose grasp of science left him unable to identify creationism as a fundamentally religious idea, and his trusty sidekick Karl Rove, rarely seen in a white lab coat but who knows something about rats, having been in Washington for some time now, claim to know best which medical research is most likely to benefit diseased Americans in the future..."

What has it been? 3 or 4 days?  You need to find some other interests.  I was actually on a business trip making money.  You should look into it sometime.  Are you the guy who sprays the shoes in the bowling alley or something?  

I was looking at your other comments though.  Should I respond to someone who calls me a "FREAK" in caps with an exclamation point?  You don't debate, you rant and drool.

I bring up hard economic data and you cite a poll. That is reality vs. perception.  To explain it in terms you could understand:  Economic data such as job creation and GNP growth is like having sex with a real women.  Polls are JERK OFF material.  Your arguments are one big jerk off.  If you actually made any money you would understand what these things mean.  If people are spending money and investing, they must be earning it as well.

And remember, Clinton refused to fund embryonic stem cells due to ethics.  Bush is the first to fund it.  I wonder if you were screaming from the rooftops when Clinton refused to fund it?  

Congratulations on making more money during the 90s than you are now.  So you might have peaked.  No big deal.  I might not be able to respond for a couple of days, but don't you worry.  Keep a candle burning for me.
