That format is too far right for him and then he'll compromise himself and turn off some of his followers, he needs a broader base and spotify gives him that. Now It'd be funny if he actually entertained that idea..He's fine where he's at, he'll get his bump and bruises along the way but it'll be ok in the end.

I Triple Dog dare ya to watch this, it details what's going on in America today dealing with censorship. It's worth the watch.

Is Joe Rogan the Hill upon which cancel culture dies? I sure as fuck hope it is!

But I hate to break up the session...but if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who did supported Rogan when he was ranting about Covid is now is backtracking his support because of Rogans use of the N-Word isn't telling then what more is there?
You can say the N-word a couple of times on your podcast, ok I get it...but to make into some sort of theme...not cool.
And sorry, I ain't wasting 12:41 minutes of my time on what's going on with censorship. I make up my own mind and not easily manipulated.....you two knucklehead need to learn to think on your own, my gawd.

Joe Rogans a racist?

Seriously?

everyone who disagrees with them racist, because they are always projecting.

But I don't know much or anything about him, just what's been blasted on the news cycle.
But it seems he plays to a racist crowd, for whatever reason. He's more of a shock jock from what it seems. Again having never heard a podcast of his, he just seems to gravitate to a certain crowd. And that crowd ain't me.
I think of shock and Awe...

Spotify says it won't cancel Joe Rogan. Count me among those who could not care less. Here's what the Times reports:

"Spotify is not canceling Joe Rogan.

Two weeks into an evolving and far-reaching controversy over its star podcaster, who has been accused of spreading misinformation about the coronavirus, and condemned for his past use of a racial slur, Spotify has faced growing pressure to take a stronger stance about the podcasts it hosts.

But in a memo to employees over the weekend, Daniel Ek, the company’s chief executive, discussed the recent removal of a number of episodes  and made it clear that it would not drop Rogan’s show, “The Joe Rogan Experience.” That show has been exclusive to Spotify since 2020, when the company made a licensing deal with Rogan that has been reported to be worth $100 million or more.

“I do not believe that silencing Joe is the answer,” Ek wrote in the memo, which Spotify provided to The New York Times. “We should have clear lines around content and take action when they are crossed, but canceling voices is a slippery slope.”

Ek also confirmed that Spotify recently removed dozens of episodes of “The Joe Rogan Experience” after a compilation video was shared online by the singer India.Arie showing Rogan repeatedly using a racial slur on his show. In a video over the weekend, Rogan apologized and called it “the most regretful and shameful thing that I’ve ever had to talk about publicly,” though he also said that at the times he made those comments — over 12 years of his podcast, Rogan said — he had believed that they were acceptable in context. Many commentators found that apology insufficient."

There's more if you want to read the Times.
