As evidenced by link below, much of the Tea Party
is supporting him.

Current polling shows Newt trailing BHO by 11%; many in "GOP establishment" feel not only will he will go to landslide defeat, but with him as nominee, GOP won't regain Senate & possibly lose the house.

On a personal level, I respect his assertive intellect, but, literally agree with him on nothing philosophically & many times find him to be a despicable demagogue.

With that being said, board conservatives, if Newt were GOP nominee, would you vote for him ?

The Koch money dried up and Fox stopped organizing it, so it's history.

They sure as hell aren't going to vote for President Obama.  It's wither vote for Newt or sit out.  Now what good does sitting out do?

Conservatives will vote for whoever the Republican nominee is over Obama.  Hell, even Newt, Santorum and Perry will vote for Romney if he ends up being the guy.

Hell no I would vote for Obama. In a pigs ass. I will vote for the dumbest fucking idiot as long as it's not Obama. Four more years of this and the Nation may not ever recover.

It's worth noting that the most recent polls from SC done last night put Newt ahead, and that Santorum has been declared the winner in Iowa.  Romney's feet of clay are showing in more ways than one.  Of course, with his money and organization, I'd still say he's the favorite.  But no longer the prohibitive favorite.  It is getting interesting.  Newt is nothing if not resilient.  I find him impressive, in a kind of scary way.  Also fascinating.  There are so many things about him to dislike, and yet I can't help but like him, though I can't figure out why.  I guess it's because even though he's such a nasty wiseass, he's also undeniably smart as hell.  Does that mean I'd vote for him?  Hell, no!  But if somehow he were nominated and elected I'd be fascinated to see what would happen.  My guess is he's running to the right, as all Republican candidates must do, but would be a fairly pragmatic President.  I hope I don't get the chance to find out, but he's sure making it interesting.

so it would make sense that he would support someone other than Romney who Huckabee can't stand.

Of course. I may not agree with much of what he says, but I would vote for someone with whom I agree 50% of the time over someone that I agree with 45% of the time.

I vote for the person who agrees with me the most.

Perfect, NO. But Romney is so frigging moderate it is crazy, and the guy cant stick to a core principal.

You know where Newt stands, and it is much more in line with what I think real conservative values are.*

The Tea Party people had to go back to their JOBS!!

That's something liberals never understood about Republicans.

Liberal protests lasts longer because they are either college kids with no job, union members who can never be fired so they can stay a long time, or people who live off the government tit are are actually fighting for their income since they do not earn their own.

Conservative protests consist of people who ACTUALLY WORK for a living and therefore need to return to work.

Just because they are not sleeping in fecal infested parts, smoking pot and sharing needles does not mean the movement does not exist.
