Or will it become even more divided after the election?
but since there isn't it won't. lol
I have to believe that immediately following the election, the country will be somewhat more divided, no matter who wins. I also believe that if Barack Obama has an effective presidency, within two years the country will begin to come together in a way that it has never done before.
and assuming he doesn't go back to his leftist nature (i.e. trys to be a successful President), I predict he will have far more opposition from Reid, Pelosi, etal. than from Republicans.
Instead of his achievement being huge milestone in the 'race for equality', I predict that many on the left will essentially begin saying, "let the 'real' affirmative action begin."
Reid and Pesloi will be his masters DEMS will probably get 60 votes in Senate .
If MAC wins some writers are saying there will be race riots.

Sorry, I tried to come up with a dumbass one liner like our "friend" Conroy mentioned. The problem is you are absolutely correct.
As much as I detest and despise Obama, Reid and Pelosi are even more malevolent and dangerous than Obama at his worst.
Yes, you bet. She has more experience in Government than O.
that the oval office belongs to the President, not the Vice President.
If he's elected.

they also said that about Cheney.
Not that I am conceding anything yet, but I think it's a moot subject.
Just remember the old saying "be careful what you ask for because you are liable to get it"
You are in the unenviable position of having to live with Obama's policies if he is elected. An Obama presidency will cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars at a minimum if he is elected, but I have the luxury to moving myself and my business elsewhere if the tax burden here becomes to onerous.
I will never give up my US citizenship, but I won't sit still for a socialist agenda that extorts over half of every dollar I earn. Think about it, it won't just be business owners like me cashing out. For every business owner like me who won't bow to the like of Reid,Pelosin and Obama you can count dozens of lost jobs and millions of dollars of lost investment.
I'll be just fine living in South America or Asia, you liberals OTOH will have to find someone else to pay for your entitlements.
I don't mind paying my fair share, but even a docile asian like myself has his limits.
Its only a matter of months IMO. What the hell is that growth on the left side of his face anyway? He doesnt look healthy to me. All the past presidents have aged dramatically soon after they took office. Stress does that to a guy. He may not die right way we all know Senator McCain is made of pretty tough stuff.
All it would take is some major health issue and boom shes in. Along with her would come all the wonderful things that fairer sex has to offer along with a complete lack of anything else.
Obama rose to the top in Chicago politics, not Where-da-fuck Alaska politics. If it weren't for McCain, Palin would have stayed in the ice box with the moose-meat. She wasn't going anywhere, and she will very quickly fade from the public scene if and when McCain loses. Either that, or she's going to be pushing Alaska's independence under Obama. Yes, I think she's so faithless to her country that she would do that. McCain has created a monster.

Bush has more experience, do you want him too? How about Clinton?
Pelosi and Reid especially if he has 60 votes will be the masters and bosses of Obama which will be reality and are the facts. Thats not racist my friend
I was joking. sheesh
Thank you MRB.
There has been so much caustic behavior on both sides that it may be difficult to put it behind them, whomever wins the election. No matter who wins, I hope some healing can occur, so that we can get to the important issues that affect all Americans.
If it divides us further, then we have some very dark times ahead.
... is to elect a third party or independent for both the Democrats and the Republicans to hate. I see no other way to unity. And maybe that's the intention of our system.
BTW, this is a totally serious reply. I'm not trying to embed an opinion in a play on words. Really.
OK, maybe a little.

You have given us a bay window with a view to your soul. I, for one, appreciate the opportunity to understand you better. Few would be so brave as to proclaim that the only way to unity is through mass hatred. That is a unique and interesting perspective. Thank you for sharing.
I was unaware you were Blackbeltxxx's moderator. Had I known that, I would have used fewer syllabols and began my post with "once upon a time...".
Military officials estimate that as many as 20% of military personnel are members of private militias, and fear they would desert in the event of an insurrection. A recent audit of military bases revealed a large amount of weapons and ammunition is missing from armories. The FBI is currently conducting an investigation into the missing weapons. Don’t think we could have another civil war or a revolution? Think again. The next civil war or revolution could be the end of the United States as we know it. It doesn’t matter who wins because the American people will lose. We will probably end up with a strong man regardless of the political philosophy that “wins.” Hopefully, this will never happen but the military and the FBI seem to be very concerned. Reasonable people do desperate things during desperate times.
A revolution would be put down so quick your head would spin
It might do so over a decade or two, depending on how good the man in office really is. This is a turning point, but any turn would be gradual.
Anyone could unite the country, but that person has to govern from the center. If his policies are to the far side of the left, he will only attract the left.
I know many Democrats who hate people like Pelosi & Co because they are moderate Dems.
If he plays to the 10% left, he will aggravate the 90% remaining.
Personally, I don't think he will play center. It isn't his history, although I hope he could change - for the country
but I think there is little doubt that if elected he will revert back to the "ultra lefty" that he really is.
What really pisses me off is the fact that McCain really isn't a "true" conservative or a neocon like the lefties like to call Republicans nowadays, but he is playing to the right wing of the party when his strength is his record of being a "maverick". Where the fuck is the Maverick that the Republicans nominated?
