I was too bored to finish the clip. So I can't really comment on it except to say, that it can't be any worse than a clip from Obama's church or McCain or Biden's for that matter.
Until this country undergoes a radical change we will always have leaders that believe in fairy tales. Who is to say which one is more foolish than the other?
The only thing we know for certain about religion is that no matter which, if any religion has got it right, several billion people are completely wrong about it.
the last part was a little droll. But the first 2 minutes or so... What grabbed me was the part about hundreds of thousands of people seeking shelter in Alaska and it being the "sanctuary state". If shes even half believes it... I know Palins an easy target. Ill quit picking on her.
uh, what exactly is scary here? This is pretty standard Christian dogma. It is not surprising that CNN would be up in arms over this story, since most of them know absolutely nothing about any sect of Christianity. Having once attended church for many years (shocking isn't it?), the notion of "praying for God's will" for pretty much ANY undertaking is pretty standard. Its just what they do.
Sorry folks, nothing to see here. I was expecting to see a sermon demonizing blacks or spewing anti-american hatred, or anti-semetic sentiment or something. Oh WAIT! I got confused! That was Obama's church. Silly me.
However, I am offended that only one group has its belief held up to ridicule.
If a Hindu or a Buddhist ran for office, no one would ridicule that person's belief. No one would say that reincarnation is a silly thing and how can we vote for someone who believes such rot.
If a Moslem ran for office, I would love to hear people knock the tennants of that belief.
Statistics hell. McCain's mother is in her 90's and still kicking. He comes from good stock. Running a national campaign is grueling even on the most young and energetic of candidates. In his 70's, McCain is shouldering the brtual schedule of running a campaign just fine.
Regarding Todd Palin's membership, he was a member for a very brief period of time, and there is not ONE quote directly from Todd himself indicating that he himself shared their opinion of "having no use for America". I once belonged to a church who expressed anti-gay sentiment. Does that mean I hate gays? That would be rather difficult since I am bisexual and would have to hate myself. I am a member of the Republican Party as well, and their attitude toward gays is certainly not one that I share. Furthermore, Todd Palin didn't have to be told he should disassociate himself from such a group. He left the group of his own volition for his own reasons. Can you say the same of Obama who spent 20 years being mentored by a guy who positively glowed with excitement in his first sermon after 9/11, crowing about America's chickens coming home to roost? I have seen the video. Wright looked positively jubilant. You are worried about the husband of the vice presidential candidate - but apparently don't care that the Presidential candidate, the guy who will actually BE in the Oval office associates himself wtih an anti-semitic, pro-terrorist, america bashing racist. And finally, one last point. I watched Sarah Palin's address to the AIP in its entirety. I'm guessing you've just seen a snippet of it. Her message boils down to "third parties are the essence of a free society, and good luck with your convention". Please point me to the direct quote in which she said she shares their version. Having listened to her entire address, I saw nothing of the kind.
supports secesion form the union(or even knows what secession means) but it clearly shows a wilingness to say whatever comes to mind, or whatever will sound good to whomever she is addressing regardless of the political ramifications.
Hell if she was talking to Putin she might say shes a communist.
Also reportedly, she thinks dinosaurs walked the earth 4,000 years ago cuz jesus wasnt born yet. Although I havent seen proof one thet one yet.
Isnt it interesting how 75% of her closest friend will not publicly endorse her. That has to raise your eyebrow.
Life expectancy for an 'Average' 72 year old is around 84. I came up with 1 in 7.2 for 4 years (using the SSIC numbers), so I won’t quibble. Still these are average probabilities. His Type A personality, skin cancer and POW history detract, but weigh that against his genetic longevity, the exceptional health care he has been receiving and will continue to receive and his present exercise capability (he recently hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim). I consider his chances of exceeding the probabilities higher than average, but then again, I got my MD from the Reader's Digest, LOL.
BTW, I’m surprised his skin cancer hasn’t been publicized more by BHO. Give it time.
