Poll: Barack Obama could lose six percentage points on election day for being black

Six percentage points is the price Barack Obama could pay on election day for being black.

That disturbing calculation was found in a groundbreaking new Associated Press-Yahoo News poll conducted with Stanford University which probes the effect of the Democratic presidential candidate's race on his historic campaign for the White House.

"There's a penalty for prejudice, and it's not trivial," Stanford University political scientist Paul Sniderman told the AP.

That probably counteracts the race issue.  Plus he has a male VP - that avoids the gender issue.  I think he has it all sewed up, if you ask me.

The GOP won't vote for a Dem, whether he is black, white, striped, or purple.  Those on the right side just disagree regardless of color.

On the other hand, if you: 1) agree with his politics; 2) but won't vote for him because of race, then you are the racist.

Now, the only people who fit those two classes of people are Dems.  If he loses because of race it is because people who agreed with him (DEMS) would not vote for him because of race.

Now, blame that on the GOP.

What's new about America? America tries to prove to everyone they are not. Picks up on nit picky crap and makes big deal out of it. Why? That's how Jesse, Sharpton and the like get rich and stay in the news.

Show me one place in this world where there is no racism of one kind or another. Racism is not always based on the color of your skin many manifestations exist, have existed and will exist for the foreseeable future.

So, the Black giveth, and the Black taketh away. If he were Irish, he'd still be in the IL state house, stealing with both hands.

he'd be a thief. I was saying he's a thief because he's a Chicagoan AND a Democrat. Name one person who is both things and not a crook.

I mentioned this in a post a few days ago, and I'm really anxious to see what kind of support, if any [and if the corect questions are asked] Obama gets from African-American GOP members. Now, a black GOPer voting for Obama would be presumed to be doing so primarily [or soley] based on Obama's race?  Does that make the individual black GOPer who castsa vote for Obama racist?  And will the oter GOPers  criticize him for it?

Don't think the aggregate numbers of African-American GOP voters swinging over to Senator Obama is going to close that gap.
