Because people wanted him for a president or because they didn't want or trust HRC? From the people I know who voted for him about 20; roughly half said they couldn't vote for her and a third party vote was a wasted vote. So could warren or sanders have won? Personally I think this was more a statement against career politicians than actually wanting Trump as a president. Myself I left the presidential choice blank on my ballot, but am curious what every one else thinks.

The Trump supporters, I heard interviewed, used the word hate a lot. They hated Hillary. They hated the Establishment elites. They hated the career politicians, etc. etc. It left them blind to reading the writing on the wall.
