I see images of Buddah and sometimes they show him as a fat guy and sometimes they show him as a thin man. Could it be that he got fat later in life or there are two different versions of him?
How come they always show Jesus as a thin man hanging on the cross. He might have been a fat or chunky guy. I don't care about his race or color of skin and hair. But I was wondering about their weight. If they're just pics, why not paint them differently from time to time?
actually, they are not pics, as in pictures, which implies the operation/end product of a photgraphic process.
those images you have seen are renderings, which leave much more leeway for artistic expression and interpretation of the subject matter in question.
i've never seen a rendering of Buddha where he was depicted as thin. i'll start canvasing the Chinese restaurants in my area which use renderings of Buddha [see, nothing is sacred] on their menus and in their interior motifs.
every rendering of JC has shown him as a thin fellow. you know, very hot climate, eating a lot od fish, wouldn't conduce to the retention of excess weight. would also have made the hanging on the cross that much more painful if JC was a porker.
