Ready to vote
Here are 3 examples of your manipulations:
#3. Liberals believe Americans with guns are more dangerous than the Chinese and North Koreans with nuclear weapons. Yes. That is true.
Simply look at the numbers. How many people are killed year after year after year by Americans with guns? How many people have ever been killed by a Chinese or North Korean with any sort of weapon?
More Americans have access to guns than Chinese or N. Koreans have to nuclear weapons. Guns simply have to be picked up to be use. China and N Korea require a complex and detailed protocol just like the US to use nuclear weapons.
You refer to "law abiding" Americans. It's not the law abiding Americans we're worried about. It's the ones who disregard the law and use guns as weapons that we're concerned about.
Furthermore, you call the Americans "law abiding" but you use no adjective to describe the Chinese or the N Koreans. By doing this, you deceptively favor one side of the logical equation.
#7. AIDS is spread by lack of federal funding. No, we don't say that. What we say is that federal funding can help REDUCE the spread of AIDS and perhaps even ERADICATE it from the human population.
How about this for logic. Based on the widely accepted axiom "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem," you don't want the federal government to be part of the solution, then you must want them to be a part of the problem.
#16. I don't believe that Hilary is normal or nice. First of all, what is "normal?" Are you normal? Normal is relative and is contextually based. Normal resides within a certain range on the spectrum of human behavior.
Do you think the business people who are the heads of the largest corporations in the world are "nice?" Since when is "nice" a prerequisite for being a good executive officer? Often being "nice" can interfere with making the tough decisions that any chief executive must make
I could deconstruct every one of your statements and show how they are unsound logically. But why bother? You'll just call me an "ignoramus who has his head up my ass" or other some statement based on truth, fact, and sound logic.
"You refer to "law abiding" Americans. It's not the law abiding Americans we're worried about. It's the ones who disregard the law and use guns as weapons that we're concerned about."
So your answer is to take away the rights of the law abiding citizens, by restricting or outright eliminating their ability to protect themselves from the criminals. Great logic
I agree the world would be a safer place without guns, but as long as there is a crimanl out there with a firearm, I'm keeping mine.

They're so much fun!!
You insist that Americans need guns to defend themselves from criminals. Okay, let's put away logic for the time being and simply look at statistics. Right wingers love to use statistics because they don't lie.
In the last ten years, how many Americans successfully protected themselves from a criminal act because they were armed with a gun?
In the last ten years, how many Americans (including children) are accidentally killed or severely injured by a gun owned by a "law abiding American?"
In the last ten years, how many otherwise "law abiding" Americans lost their cool and impulsively, in a moment of blind rage, killed or severely injured someone? Perhaps, if that gun hadn't been so easily or readily available time might have allowed tempers to cool and there would be one less body in the morgue and one less body in prison.
Isn't the concept of collateral damage one embraced by right wingers when liberals point out the civilian deaths in Iraq? Don't they say the few have to suffer for the greater good? I think you could easily apply your principals when it comes to the issue of gun control.
Every month scores of thwarted crimes against innocents thanks to private gun ownership are taken from the police blotters and are printed in "The American Rifleman, Americas 1st Freedom" and other magazines to the like. Gun control zealots like yourself are not regular readers of such magazines and therefore not likely to count these in your statistics.
For as long as statistics have been compiled the cities and States with the most horrific crime rates have been those with the strictest gun control laws, and those states with the most liberal carry and concealed carry status enjoy the lowest crime rates.
It would be wonderful if gun accidents through negligence and misuse could be wiped out with the stroke of a legislative pen; but that is as likely as auto accidents through negligence and misuse being done away with by the same pen.
No, I am saying that I as an American have the constitutional right to protect myself. I am not a right winger, and I don't believe in rewriting the constitution in the name of law and order.
If you want to trust the police to protect you, that's your right. Unless there was a way to get every single gun off the street(which ther isn't) gun control is a complete failure.
"You refer to "law abiding" Americans. It's not the law abiding Americans we're worried about. It's the ones who disregard the law and use guns as weapons that we're concerned about"
I invite you to read your own words. How do those words now translate into your current stance? Do you or don't you believe in consficating guns from law abiding citizens? Your current stance sounds like you believe in the former not the latter
gun control is the ability to put 2 bullets in the same hole.
No, that's bullet control. lol
Great Posting Jack.
I could not agree more.
Thank you
our target market is the morons who will believe it. Anybody else is a traitor, and not a true Republican.
Our President is the stereotype True Republican. Lots of good habits like lying about chronic substance abuse, but the critical quality is that he will fight to avoid using his brain. Anything else, somebody else can do the fighting.
number 18 is silly. it was a witch hunt and never should have happened in the first place. i saw it as a dark day for all parties and upped the level of contention on both sides immesurably. it never should have reached the stages it did.
the first part is a little vague too.
i bagged an intern once and i would have lied about it too.
all in all though, A+ on the list. the loonies fall in line through the other 21.
you don't have any credibility to lose.
i've verified this on the board. you loonies need to check into reality.

at least I posted an argument based on facts and on logic. This is a DISCUSSION board. However, it's impossible to engage in any sort of discussion, let alone a meaningful one, when you resort to nothing more than name calling, gross generalizations, and strict adherence to the party line.
making a good point. i appreciated your response.
people will argue with you when they have evidence pointing in the other way. you express an opinion based on what you think. i disagree. my opinion is the opposite. guns do save lives.
if nobody but criminals had guns we would all get shot in the head tomorrow. i might even try crime if i knew nobody had guns. so would you!
It's not a fear of guns that keeps me from a life of crime, nor is it the prison sentence that I would face if I'm caught. I avoid a life of crime simply because it's the right and moral thing to do. I thought that would be sufficient for you or any conservative who champion morality and traditional values.
high as compared to say commercial fishing - though those are usually very short seasons. And assuming of course you aren't some sort of Rambo who goes looking for a fight.
The real issue is that you can't avoid the idea of death or disfigurement, and so it does tend to scare off the Republicans, who are emotionally victimized if they can't find somebody to do their work - like you know, hire Messicans then carp, bitch, & whine about the feelthy subhuman Messicans.
The serious problem is that it's not nearly as much fun as Cowboy thinks; working conditions and wages suck, it's fucking filthy and hard to arrange good food and a decent lay. It's a real career wrecker - but it does have the advantage of lowering your profile in divorce court - you are much less likely to get stuck with that liability, because you're less likely to get married in the 1st place.
But Blackwater may have done the troops a real backhanded favor, by creating a more fluid labor market, and running the wages up to something more realistic.
