OK, here's a question about the gun...

Forget about the calls to ban assault weapons. I agree with them but that's not going anywhere. I want to know about the AR the demented kid almost killed Trump with. All we know is it was purchased by his dad, probably legally. But why did his Dad buy it? How did the kid get it? Dad and Mom are psychologists. Dad is a registered Libertarian and Mom's a Democrat. Why did they want an AR? How did the kid get it?
It's a very weird situation.

Being psychologists, they would be trained experts in picking up differences about their son, especially since they obviously know him so well. How does the below convo not happen?:

Mom: Yes, he is suffering from depression. Btw...about that AR-15 you bought...don't you think we need to....

I don't want to forget about the assault weapons ban. The time may be ripe to bring it up again. Maybe some Rs will change their mind now that Trump was the victim? Is there ANY common sense gun restrictions they would approve?

Mom: Yes, he always criticizes Biden but he never says Trump is unfit and unqualified to be president.

 
Dad: Right, and he always bends over backwards to be nice to righties.  And what does he get in return from righties?  A kick in the balls, to which he says: "thank you sir, may I have another."
Mom: We made a mistake when he was born.  He had both male and female genitalia and we chose to make him a man.  It didn't work - he's a pussy.

I have only called him evil and a threat to democracy on many occasions. I guess you missed those? I must say you are improving. You have gone at least one post in a row where you haven't posted a broken link. ;)

AR-15's are the most common platform on the market. Many manufacturers, fully assembled or kit parts. Wide array of accessories, scopes, sights, lasers, flashlights, suppressors.

Lightweight and relatively compact. And effective. It's a great defensive weapon, which is one reason it will never be banned once the SCOTUS reviews a finalized ban case (there several pending but SCOTUS doesn't like to take cases until the lower appeals courts finally rule.

AR-15's fullfil any "common use test", are effective for defense, are arms under the text, history and tradition of the 2nd amendment.

When I think of PA excluding Philly and Pittsburgh, I think of large convenience stores with made to order food (Sheetz/Wawa), Amish dog breeders and AR-15s. They are everywhere!
