BTW.... I didn't think Hernandez should have gotten a pardon.
BUT the thing you and others don't get about people who are "pardoned" is that many still faced time in prison, paid fines, debt, forfeited assets, etc. Also, a pardon doesn't clear your record (it gives back your rights). So your record still shows the crime.
Now back to the Hernandez Case:
1. They didn't prove he directly trafficked cocaine/weapons
2. He was charged with taking Bribes (like Maduro)
3. They said his campaign got money from cartels (like Maduro)
4. His Brother and Nephews were the traffickers.
5. They said he took money from El Chapo to let drugs pass thru the country (Maduro allowed drugs to flow thru country)
6. 400 tons was EL Chapo and his brother/nephews.
7. He didn't have an arrest warrant out for him at the time.
8. He turned himself in.
Now again....the facts are they got him for accepting drug money for his campaign, accepting bribes, and allowing drugs to go thru the country. He maintains his innocence about "knowingly" or "his police" were using force to keep drug routes open.
We don't know the assets that were taken from him or forfeited, any fines he paid, information he gave us, etc.... That is things I haven't found. But those are debts paid. Also right now Hernandez is wanted in his home country. They have an arrest warrant out for him, and international one.
Now we will need to see what they Charge Maduro with and prove him guilty of.
But things you are ignoring.....
1. Maduro $10M Bounty placed on him by Trump 1st term.
2. Maduro $25M bounty placed on him by Biden
3. Maduro had $50M bounty on him by Trump in August.
4. He had an international arrest warrant.
5. The US had sanctions placed on him since OBAMA.
6. The US (along with 50 other countries) didn't recognize him as a legitimate leader.
7. The US and other countries saw the humanity crisis going on in Venezuela for YEARS.
But yeah.... now it is "bad" that he isn't the leader anymore. So you want to talk about "MORALS"...... get the fuck out of here.
