Flag Pins

I don't notice whether a politician wears a pin or not, and I don't care.

But BHO made a point of telling the media he doesn't wear a pin and that often people who do are not patriotic because they don't speak up. (He didn't need to point out that he meant speak out to a Republican president. That was clearly understood.)

Now it seems to me that BHO NOT wearing a pin is a sign to the America-hating-left that he's one of them.

I think BHO's point when he discontinued wearing the flag lapel pin is his contention that the flag, as a symbol, had been hijacked by the political right, and he doesn't want to seem to be in their camp politicaly.

He got a point, and I gotta agree with it, as far as it goes.  I also personally refuse to wax weak-kneed and misty-eyed over any iconography involving the Statue of Liberty, as this image [IMHO]appears to have been hijacked by the multiculti/diversity/PC left.

In each case, what a pity.

Let us suppose the Right Wing hijacked the Flag and the Flag Pin. By not wearing the Flag Pin would be giving in to the right wing. If I felt the same, I would wear two flag pins, a flag flying at my house, and Flag on my car.

There you have it.  You don't give up what you believe in, you fight to get it back, that is the American way.

or yellow ribbons.

I'll tell you what a yellow ribbon tells me - that they should have it pasted down their back.  If they gave a shit about supporting the troops they'd be 10 yards behind them covering their ass.

Even JackO will occasionally make a valid point. Only women and children should wear yellow ribbons. If you're a man wearing one, you'd better be a veteran who's earned the right or else you're nothing but a hypocrite.

Yes, I am a veteran and no, I don't wear flags or silly little ribbons.

you make an excellent point : fight to get it back. TYVM. But in the meanwhile, i'm still keeping my distance.

aren't at record highs, let's talk about flag pins!

Ya fuckin idiot.

Only the pathetic even expect the President to save them from foreclosure.

"Save me from foreclosure, ObamaMan. Please!"

It was the compassionate Dems who got the credit extended to the birdbrain demographic who then couldn't afford to pay their loans, and then were surprised when the banks got ugly.

Also, it is idiots on the Left who say "Oil is too high!" How about we drill? "No" How about Nukes? "NO!" How about wind turbines? "NoFuckin Way" says Ted K the Liberal Icon. So your crew says no drilling, no refineries, no nukes, no windmills where Ted K and John The Patriot Kerry can see them. And then squawks because oil is too high.

Your crew says "Poor people can't get loans to buy houses," then when they get the loans and don't pay them back, they bitch about that. When house prices go up, the Left whines that they can't afford to buy, when the prices go down, they whine because prices are down. It's like living with a bunch 2 yr. olds who cry about everything. Maybe when the Libs start talking we should just give them a binky and put them to bed.

Because there is a two front war, nothing else can be discussed? No baseball, no hobbying, no TV shows, nothing? Says who?

PS-I've read many of your posts and you have a lot of nerve calling ANYONE a fucking idiot. But my guess is you use it because it's probably a term you've heard a lot in your life.

or is it that a flag pin is your idea of presidential qualification?

Or is it just some sort of secret handshake?

Is it just like touches toes?  All of us Republicons know how to do that.

I kinda wonder why he thinks he needs to share.  An when I see somebody with a half dozen bumper-stickers, I know it's some hippie or dyke.
