Despite all the blathering on fox, cnbc, cnn etc., certainly explains why people are unhappy with our 'stellar' economy under the George W. regime. Especially in the context of skyrocketing costs for health insurance, energy and basic commodities.

I ran my own differences.
The average increase was +10.5%
The high was +16.4%
The low was +0.64% (poor Mississippi)
National was +10.3%

Problem #1: Your year 2000 link also lacks a methodology.  So, using your "throw it out without a methodology" criteria, we can't use it.

Problem #2: one "2000 Inflation Adjusted Dollar" does not equal one "2005 Inflation Adjusted Dollar".  Confusing, I know.  You need charts based on the same year's inflation-adjusted dollar.

Problem #3: If we're going to be sticklers for methodology, the year 2005 methodology doesn't include the word "inflation" anywhere to explain what their inflation adjustments are.

Problem #4: The DFP/WM graphic was based on 1999-2005 data.  You've got the wrong year.
