As far as gays in the military, I am not sure where I stand on this (I'll admit this is a cop out). I wish gays could serve, but at the same time see the military's concern with unit cohesiveness.

I was talking about racists and bigots of every stripe. Racism is dumb. Sexism is dumb.  Homophobia is dumb.

Gay people generally are interested in fucking other gay people.  They might have a crush on a straight- but they would be very circumspect in expressing that, especially in a military context.  If the straight people are concerned that is THEIR problem, should not be the gay persons.

If women have melded well into world militarys, gay can.  The military was a great leader in fighting racism.

All soldiers should aspire to be half a good as Alexander or the Spartans/Theban Band of antiquity!  US army unable to hold candle to them with this policy!  And I am a big fan of the US military!

Sully, sorry about your friend. I read about him. Sad to say though, our government had the plane shot down, they admitted this about a month ago. The Gay Jew and the Brave Black man the media originally tried to portray as saviors, as heroes, really had nothing to do with bringing that plane down. 100% of the credit goes to the military for bringing the plane down. I guess at the time it just made sense to lie to the public, i believe it was to rally Americans into supporting Jewish war hawks, and a president missing the balls to just say no to those crazed war plans.
