Fracking in TX?
The linked article says, "Rio Grande congressmen Henry Cuellar and Gonzalez have called on President Biden to alter his stance on the border and rescind his executive order halting fracking on federal lands."

Serious Q: How much fracking is done in TX? OK has a lot of fracking and a lot of earthquakes. Other regions (PA, NY) frack or want to frack. If fracking is blocked in non-TX locations (OK, PA, NY, ...), that will increase the value of "traditional" drilling / pumping in TX, right? Shouldn't TXans want to block fracking elsewhere?
Oh wait, maybe it's White liberals that they can't stand.
Like I've been saying forever, we need a wall here in Texas. Not to keep the Messicans out, but to keep the white liberals from California from invading our state.
Maybe the browner Texas gets the Redder it will get, either way things are looking up in Texas.

GaG went on to question "what does fracking have to do with GOP mayoral candidates." Well, those candidates were quoted in the article. As my teachers used to say to my unprepared classmates, "Didn't you do the reading?!"

Sometimes, people ask Qs to let the questioned party provide more info and educate the readership. Insults do not have to be a part of that.

The part about 'Fed lands only,' which I read but did not need to mention, is an obvious part of anyone's position -- or economic calculation -- on fracking. If fracking on Fed land increases TX production by a tiny amount but impacts increased production from the competition (OK, PA, NY ...) even more, that's better for TX. And vice versa. Mentioning that only 2% of TX is Fed land is helpful info. (No need for MORE info, but the amount Fed land in TX developed and delivering fossil fuels would be a better number. 100% of 2% is a lot of land / oil / gas. 2% of 2%, not so much.)
