1. Nobody should tell anyone to change names of a team.
2. Trump has no power to decide what goes on in DC or any city with funding for a Stadium....same goes for any president.
3. Native American's who are upset about names of teams (Redskins was about the only one that could be) need to look deeper into them. The history behind the name was it was the Boston Braves and when the team moved he changed it to "REDSKINS" to not confuse it with a baseball team named the Braves. His head coach was Native along with other players. He said it was "honoring" them. He also adopted the logo (not same) of a head dress and what not. Saying he is honoring them. Then in 1971 the Chairman of the Blackfeet nation helped design the logo that was known by many until it was taken off. So it was not meant to be derogatory in anyway shape or form. Same goes for other team. Now the mascot name of Cleveland Indian's baseball team "Chief Wahoo"... different story because it was Cartoonish and whatnot. But that was to appease kids or created for the kid demographic. That could have been changed pretty easy and still the team could have stayed Cleveland Indians. Again over correction by many. I will also touch base on North Dakota Fighting Sioux College team only changed its name once a prominent donor died. Because he stated that if they changed the name he would have closed down the hocky stadium and stopped donations. He was a multi-millionaire. Ralph Engelstad. Also with that it was Sioux tribes not from ND that pushed for the name change. So yeah... social justice warrior type of people.
