how many of the thousands of Americans Joe abandoned in Afghanistan have been executed by the Taliban by now? It's been over 7 months. Anybody here have any friends or relatives that were among those left to die by the president?

Ok first regarding Afghanistan. Was the pullout bad? Yep? But, CDL, I am sure you know that Trump dramatically reduced the troop level in Afghanistan 5 days before he left office. 2nd, he negotiated the peace or pullout agreement with only the Taliban, not the Afghan Govt. 3rd, as part of said agreement, 5000 Taliban prisoners were released. Now, u knew all that right?
The United States didn't just cut and run in leaving Afghanistan as trump had wanted Biden to do. It's important to remember that since March, 2021 until the end of August, 2021 when the last troops departed, the Biden administration reached out 19 times to Americans in Afghanistan with multiple warnings and offers to help them leave Afghanistan.
We didn't leave any soldiers behind. Some Americans living in Afghanistan chose to stay or waited too long to try to exit the country. Trump would have left in April and criticized Biden for staying until the end of August.
did not have the authority as Commander-in-Chief to send more troops in to make sure all Americans had a secure exit? He was president for six months before they even announced the date for the pullout. Trump knew that the Taliban would take over once the American presence was gone because the Afghan government is corrupt. If you need proof, as soon as the Taliban got close, the Afghan prez loaded up a helicopter with a half-billion in cash and got his butt to where it was safe. I did know the Taliban prisoners were released, but they were Afghans, not Americans, and what does Biden do? He leaves most of the them there to fend for themselves along with Americans. What is the point of getting them released if you are going to abandon them to die anyway, ALONG WITH AMERICANS.
It's amazing that you don't hold Biden responsible for leaving Americans to die. You just say, "Yep, the pullout was bad." It was worse than bad. It was the most reprehensible blunder in American history. No other president has left Americans behind enemy lines to fend for themselves. We even try to get bodies out of Americans we KNOW are dead. Why? Because they are Americans and that's what we do . . . . . until Biden came along. No one should be surprised about Putin after Biden was exposed as a coward in Afghanistan.
And of course, the Taliban were just good honest people. LOL. I ask you, why did Trump pull out the troops? I am not always defending Biden. I am no fan of his. But, he is a damn site better than Trump. You think he left Americans to die? Which ones? The troops or the folks in country?
Every righty on this board has been acquainted with the facts and refuses to let go of their misinformation. Trump even joked publicly about how he'd boxed Biden in.
I think CDL is, as usual, just pulling shit out of his ass. Why? Because Joe has actually done a damn fine job on Ukraine and he needs to change the subject. It's part of his marching orders from Putin.
