Summary:  We tested the fixity of political preferences of 136 healthy males during the 2011 U.S. presidential election season by administering synthetic testosterone or placebo to participants who had identified the strength of their political affiliation. Before the testosterone treatment, we found that weakly affiliated Democrats had 19% higher basal testosterone than those who identified strongly with the party (p=0.015). When weakly affiliated Democrats received additional testosterone, the strength of their party fell by 12% (p=.01) and they reported 45% warmer feelings towards Republican candidates for president .  Our results demonstrate that testosterone induces a “red shift" among weakly-affiliated Democrats.  This effect was associated with improved mood.  No effects were found of testosterone administration for strongly affiliated Democrats or strong or weak Republicans.  Our findings provide evidence that neuroactive hormones affect political preferences.

There's a correlation of low testosterone and dismal mood with being a progressive.

Has anyone ever bust a nut and then wanted to get into a fist fight with some bloke? The more cum you got stored up the higher your testosterone the angrier you are. Conservative values are related to strength and anger and Democrat values are related to love and weakness. Some years ago there was a left wing news outlet, Vox I think, that tested the testosterone levels of their male staff and found that all of them had low rates of testosterone. Now I know a bunch of guys will rib each other over shit like this, and yeh it’s kinda funny, but you guys are missing the bigger picture. While it feels like you came to your own thoughts and positions on your own and independent of any influence, this shows that’s not true. Even things like being hungry or your diet or how much sleep you’re getting can influence your political outlook on things.
