This is what happens when a King intervenes in a scientific process and its outcome! It is expected in Putin’s Russia where he approves vaccines.
More importantly, this sort of things seriously weakens public trust in new therapeutics or cure which is very weak in the first place.

If and when a vaccine is approved, who in the public will trust it. These agencies have been politicized by this administration.

Also i never believe that it was a "cure" all like Trump boasted.  

The problem with COVID is it is getting politicized way too much by everyone.

If there is a treatment out there would you want to try it if you were dying?  Also getting FDA approval makes it that insurance could/would be on the hook for paying for that possible treatment.  It is step 1 in making sure of this.

IE: It isn't experimental... it is a "proven" treatment.

Just like chloriquine... not a cure all but one thing that could help.  Plasma... not a cure all but could help.
