END OF MESSAGE

Don't get overly happy, you know Bush will fill the position with someone even less qualified, like maybe the dead guy Ashcroft lost too ...... oh wait nevermind the dead guy is MORE qualified.

R.I.P., Mel Carnahan.  You would've been an excellent U.S. senator for the state of Missouri.

Unfortunately, Missourians such as myself are now stuck with Jim NoTalent, a.k.a. Jarred from Subway as one of our senators instead of Mr. Carnahan.  And with the re-election of "Shit" Bond as our other senator and Matt Blunt(object) as our new governor, there's nothing left to say except "R.I.P., Missouri".

Yes, the right wing nut-jobber is gone! Long live personal liberties!!

On the minus side, it means he's coming home to my state.  Missouri could afford the misery if it relieves the rest of the nation.

I wrote several weeks ago he was done. He had just become too much a liability for even Bush and Cheney (or should I sat Cheney & Bush).

He's rock consistent about that.  Asscrossed hasn't done or said anything the least bit disloyal.

For much the same reason, I know Colin Powell is done.

If anything, I think Asscrossed left because he objected to Bush, not the other way around.  We'll never know with these guys.

after all, it leaves one fewer honorable, committed, Christian public servant for you to vilify and use as a fearmongering tactic.

would proudly identify yourself as a member of the religious right?

(or whether there is actually a politically-powerful Religious Right or not), that will not stop those who seek to vilify the faithful from categorizing me as such.

That having been said, I am a conservative, and I am a church-going (if obviously sinful) Christian.  I am not a member of a politically-active congregation (indeed, my church is among the notoriously left-wing "mainline" denominations) and I leave my politics outside the church door.

So call me whatever you want.  You'd hardly be the first.
