Can we just admit that the Republican party is no longer the party of Reagan, and they no longer ascribe to us a being the "shining city on a hill"?

...rolling over in his grave because he's not there.  Today's Republicans salted and burned Reagan's corpse so his ghost wouldn't haunt them because of what they have done to the party of Reagan.

The Democrat  famous for his "Ask not what your country can do for you" speech would be thrilled  to see his party full of people doing nothing but asking exactly that.

Do you plan on admitting just how far afield the Dems have gone in the years since JFK?

JFK was pro-military, tax cutter for the rich, extremely anti-communist, held strong religious beliefs which he was very open about as he gave many faith based speeches, was a deficit hawk, a free trader, and championed individual responsibility.

Libs today would call him an "extremist."

Both parties have moved far from their roots. Amazing that the libs in this thread don't see that.

Shit, even Bill Clinton would have been called a racist today:

She had her ass handed to her over that "racist" statement. lol

Opened China, instituted price controls, was in favor of national health care.  Of course, he was also a war criminal, so there's that. But no way could Nixon get nominated by the Republicans today.  In fact, not a single Republican President could.

Now, what about FDR? Would todays libs call him a racist? A terrorist? War criminal? Would they have ripped him for violating the constitution?

Oh, yeah! I did! ;)

You tried to make it about 'Democrats have strayed as much as Republican's. Perhaps so, however it is the Republican's who continuing beat the drum of being the party of Reagan. I can't recall the drum of Democrats being the party of JFK being beaten in a long time. Then the discussion soon devolved to which presidents would still be a member of his original party affiliation. I suspect JFK would have the same speech for members of both party's, whatever party one wants to hypothesize he'd be in, today.

So, now I'll redirect the discussion back to the original point.  Reagan, as well as JFK, stood up to the Russian's, our adversaries. I don't see much, if any of that with Trump and the Republican's, particularly with the Congress the article refers to. That was the issue! ;)

The Liar in Chief is in favor of Extreme Interrogation Techniques for terrorists!    Now to get to the bottom of Russia with Love, how about waterboarding these people:

0. Mike Flynn
1. Son
2. Son In Law
3. Daughter
4. AG Jim Crow
5. Paul Manafort
6. Steve Bannon
7. Kelly Anne Conway
8. Rinse My penis (WH chief of Staff)

Once the water flows through the noses, I am sure they will start singing within 10 seconds.
