Italian doctors take the Hippocratic oath just as American doctors do.  They would not kill a patient so that another will live.  Doctors make choices during triage, especially in the current situation where there aren't enough ventilators for all who need them.  But a doctor would never "yank" a person off a ventilator so that another patient could have it.

There was an article in the New England Journal of Medicine along the same lines as your excellent Reuters link.  Both articles show how the agonizing decisions of having to allocate resources rests with frontline doctors, not some amorphous "government health care" bureaucracy that Cur de Liar bullshits about.  The decisions are so difficult that doctors have sought ethical advice, NOT from "government health care'" but from their peers:
