In June the 3rd US Circuit of appeals also said a non-violent felon (he was only convicted of welfare fraud) didn't lose his rights to possess weapons.

Speaking about nutty states, California was just slapped down on 1rst amendment grounds when they passed a law prohibiting a publication aimed at children from teaching about guns.  The court said for California to stop its fucking censorship.

I would not be surprised if US funding of virus research in China / Wuhan has ended. One aspect of BASIC research involves modifying cells to test the effectiveness of drugs and other treatments or to better understand how the cells work. For example, cancer cells are sometimes modified to make them grow faster or to bypass (resist) some biological control pathways so the cancer can be more easily studied. Is that "weaponization" of that cancer? Or is it medical research?

The US funded research at Wuhan. The US had US researchers at Wuhan working in collaboration with Wuhan researchers UNTIL TRUMP PULLED THEM OUT IN 2017-2018. Some scientists, but not the majority, call the modifications to the viruses in order to study them "weaponization" because they might grow faster or are more infectious or infectious in a new way. Most scientists do not call it weaponization. I do not think that ANYONE thinks that this was "bioweapon" research. It was MEDICAL research to try to anticipate how the viruses might mutate and what can be done to control, treat, or cure future infections.

The GOP is not in position to charge  Hunter. Only the Dems are. They own this 100%. They could say, hey, this law is unconstitutional and we won't enforce it. If they don't believe it is unconstitutional how could they not enforce it? Hunter is being subjected to a law that liberals believe in. Most gun rights conservatives would love for the DOJ to stop enforcing this unconstitutional law for everyone, not just for Biden crime family members.
