I don't care about guns against or pro. But after the latest shootings, a student, that girl, that office and that sniper and others. Maybe just people doing all this shooting to add to the controversies. Maybe they're doing it to in their minds, stop the sell and existance of guns. Or they do it to make the Gun people look bad and make a point in their agenda.
The media has decided to try and stear gun control, every shooting is national news today. 20 yrs ago you wouldn't have heard more then a 30 second blurb on your local tv about the shooting of one individual. Right or wrong. Many in the media have already decided the issue before congress has even voted on anything. Personal feelings used to be editorials and not included in every story, used to stear the story rather then just following the facts. Welcome to the doom and gloom of the modern media and nothing but the first amendment is untouchable in their eyes.

And the one thing about propaganda, is that under US law, it is illegal to disseminate propaganda to the US public.
We need to get away from the for-profit cable news model. Remember back in the day when everyone watched the CBS Evening News? Well, today the closest thing we have to that is PBS, or the BBC, or Al Jazerra English.
The editoralizing needs to stop. We need real news again. Not talking heads spreading propaganda.
I'd agree completely, but this is what americans want. Propaganda and the freedom of speech are hard to differentiate, most of those laws date to pre 1950's and were mainy aimed at communist and nazi literature I thought, but it been so long since I've even heard of htem I cant be sure. I'm in my late 30's so I grew up with cable news shows and watched CBS but I am smart enough to think for myself on issues. I hate to say it but the public in general is not getting smarter... Al Jazeera is just what we need on our TV's, I've seen very little of it and but I'd guess its not pro american.
