If the government can't get the flu shot program to work properly how do people think the government can administer a health care program? If the government controls the health care in the U.S. where are we going to go if we need quality health care? Currently the Canadians and British come here for serious health care issues.
I have been going to an excellent doctor in Cabo San Lucas. He attended medical school in Mexico and did his internship and residency in California. He practiced in California before he moved to Cabo. He, like most doctors in Mexico don't accept health insurance so I pay cash for my visits. I only pay 60.00 a visit so I imagine there are going to be a lot more American doctors moving their practices south of the border when the health care system crashes in the U.S.
You can’t have a ‘good crisis’ to manage and declare ‘a state of emergency’ if the supply was meeting the demand. I understand that the death toll has already reached 1000 here in the States, but obviously that is not enough to increase production and distribute the vaccines any faster. Not that I’d ever take one voluntarily anyway… But once it hits the ‘appropriate level’ then Rahm can go tell BHO: ”OK boss...time to declare martial law and go round everyone up. FEMA is ready to open the camps”.
Just remember... ”there is nothing like a good crisis to manage to get things done”? So everything is made into a crisis so Rahm has something to manage...
The seasonal flu shots were out early and were plentiful for anyone who wanted one.
The problem was the H1N1 strain that appeared last spring. The vaccine companies had a shorter than normal time to develop and produce a H1N1 vaccine, at the same time produce a seasonal flu vaccine.
You do know that these vaccines are manufactured by commercial companies, not the government. The government is not responsible for production of vaccines, the HHS does coordinate the distribution but not production.
