You are absolutely correct. I didn’t vote in 2024 so take away from that what you will. I will admit that I’m happy Trump won.

The arrogance of the Democrat politicians, their staffers, their consultants and anyone else actively involved in their respective campaigns was astounding to me. They believe that anyone who disagrees with them or doesn’t fall in line with their ideology or dogma of thought is on the “wrong side” of history. I guess when you believe in your own moral superiority so strongly it’s hard to take an honest inventory and really look within and examine why you lost.

In their own postmortem analysis of the election I became so sick of hearing “we had a messaging problem” or “we did a bad job explaining our ideas.” Absolutely neither was true. People understood their ideas clearly but they clearly hated them. The democrats lost because they abandoned the working class they built the party on and they became obsessed with identity politics and they didn’t even pretend to care about addressing the issues of cost of living, high crime, absurd amounts of money to Ukraine and massive amounts of illegal immigration that people actually cared about.

My friends come from all walks of life and most colors of skin. I saw people who were non-white who didn’t vote  

The average voter who stays somewhat politically aware in this country no longer looks at the Democrat party as the party of the working or common man. The democrats made a concerted push to alienate men of all colors from their party and it worked. I watched non white males who hated Trump is 2016 go full on MAGA by 2024. Why? Because they felt abandoned and even vilified by Democrats over the last eight years just for being a man. LatinX wasn’t very popular with all the Hispanic people I knew.

The trans issue was a loser across the board for Democrats but they dug their heels in anyway. Any father I know who had a young daughter was pushed towards the right because of this issue. People have begun to hate the way liberals speak, their terminology such as “gender affirming care” comes across as elitist and out of touch.  

My good friend is black and he grew up in one of the most violent inner cities in America. Him and his brother were first time Trump voters because they felt the money sent to Ukraine would have been better spent in the inner cities and they are absolutely right correct about that. That same friend’s wife’s mother is a older Black woman from the somewhat rural south who goes to church every Sunday. She voted for Trump for the first time because as she she said, “I don’t like all of the money the Democrats are giving to the illegals.”

Honestly, the only two people who were honest with themselves and the public about why the Democrats lost were Bill Maher and Stephen A Smith. They are both a hell of a lot smarter than the people charting the direction of the Democrat party.  

My sincere hope is that such a brutal loss would cause the democrats to come back to the middle but they are just too entrenched in their ideology to ever change. This loss showed that.

I can’t find the article anymore but it was a great article written by a Democrat after the election and what he was saying was that Trump’s election was a rejection of Globalization more than anything. I absolutely agree with that. The poor people in the United States have said that they basically no longer care about helping the even poorer people around the world.

Globalization has raised the standard of living around the world but has lowered the wages and the quality of life for the people in America. Voters finally stood up and rejected that. It may very well be too late to turn back the clock of globalization and high paying manufacturing jobs not requiring college degrees probably are not coming back but Trump at least pretended to care about these issues and spoke honestly about them. For better or worse that’s why he won no matter how much these people shriek about racism, sexism, mysogny, homophobia, transphobia, etc

....astounded me were in the comments.  He was getting ratio'd hard by young males and females about being out of touch with what the new voters want.  To them, Maher is an old, white privileged man who no longer has an opinion that is valid or useful...a relic.  They hate him for what he said and probably for also being a Jew.  The democratic party is in some real deep shit with the monster that they have created...a generation of spoiled, angry and mostly white marxists.  The only thing that will change in the next 4 years is that these ignorant, silver spoon fed 20-30 y.o. children will grow more intolerant of any opinion but theirs.  The dems are just about to be in a death spiral and the new American Socialist party will already be getting a head of steam that will likely have candidates trying to get into congress by 2028 and become part of the contest for president by 2032.  Thank God the kids in and graduating from high school now are for the most part, laughing at all the bullshit and cultural fraud happening around them.  These young people will tilt the culture war back toward the center.  They will have the next 4 years of safe haven to openly mock and ridicule what deserves to be mocked and ridiculed.
