Righties hear this and will vote for him anyway because they are uneducated, ignorant, stupid fucking morons.

and bring other workers in.
Why do you think he also said, 'I love the poorly educated."

Time and a half and double time is market inefficient. So Trump is correct.  It's better to hire a second shift than to force workers to go beyond 40 hours.

Better for whom? You didnt say.

When I consult manufacturers on labor shifts I review how long the project will be, how many hours needed. Then I’d recommend doing a “second” shift. But if it’s a short term job, then I’d say do the overtime and avoid all the unemployment hassles and the learning curb needed.

It's always a balancing act between the options readily available.  The desire is to avoid overtime if practical.

to the inefficiency of overtime.  Workers get tired, and so you are paying more for less production.  You start with the addition of part-time workers to supplement your work force, and then you expand them to full time as the demand for your products or services grows.  Demand spurs growth, but you have to do it intelligently, or your margins will suffer.

There’s stories out of NY how  he’d pay half of what he owed then dared the contractor to take him to court knowing that going to court would be costly and not worth it. A real piece of shit I’d say
There were contractors who’d refuse to do anything with him

If people avoided court filings, these stories sound apocryphal, since there would therefore be no official record of them, and therefore essentially unverifiable.

...after being a successful business for 70 years.  Just one example of Trump's M.O.  He would stiff subs on the final payment of their contracts.  That's where the profit is built into the contract.

The cabinet maker hired an attorney to sue Trump.  He was advised that the case would result in exorbitant legal fees far outweighing anything the business might recoup.  Devastated by the nonpayment, the company's finances fell apart.  The business went bust within five years of the 70 year-old family business working for Donald Trump.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2016/09/28/i-sold-trump-100000-worth-of-pianos-then-he-stiffed-me/
I sold Trump $100,000 worth of pianos. Then he stiffed me. The Republican nominee is a callous businessman.
.
"My relationship with Trump began in 1989, when he asked me to supply several grand and upright pianos to his then-new Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City. ... I had a great relationship with my customers — no one had ever failed to pay. I was thrilled to get a $100,000 contract from Trump. It was one of the biggest sales I’d ever made. I was supposed to deliver and tune the pianos; the Trump corporation would pay me within 90 days. I asked my lawyer if I should ask for payment upfront, and he laughed. “It’s Donald Trump!” he told me. “He’s got lots of money.”
.
"But when I requested payment, the Trump corporation hemmed and hawed. Its executives avoided my calls and crafted excuses. After a couple of months, I got a letter telling me that the casino was short on funds. They would pay 70 percent of what they owed me. There was no negotiating. I didn’t know what to do — I couldn’t afford to sue the Trump corporation, and I needed money to pay my piano suppliers. So I took the $70,000. Losing $30,000 was a big hit to me and my family. The profit from Trump was meant to be a big part of my salary for the year. So I made much less. There was no money to help grow my business. I had fewer pianos in the showroom and a smaller advertising budget. Because of Trump, my store stagnated for a couple of years. It made me feel really bad, like I’d been taken advantage of. ... I delivered quality pianos, tuned and ready to go. I did everything right. And then Trump cheated me. ...

Hundreds Claim Donald Trump Doesn't Pay His Bills in Full. Dozens of lawsuits allege the businessman didn't pay what he owed.
.
"... A USA Today analysis published Thursday uncovered 60 lawsuits by ordinary Americans who say Trump and his businesses failed to pay them for their work. The list includes plumbers and painters, waiters and bartenders, real estate brokers and even law firms who helped him defend such suits.
.
The documents reviewed by the newspaper include:
o More than 200 liens since the 1980s that were filed by contractors and workers who said they were stiffed.
o Records released by casino regulators in 1990 that show 253 subcontractors on a single project were not paid in full or on time.
o Twenty-four Fair Labor Act violations by the Trump Plaza casino and Trump Mortgage for failure to pay minimum wage or overtime. The cases were resolved with an agreement to pay back wages.
.
"That rationale sounds familiar to Paul Friel. His family's cabinetry firm won a $400,000 contract to build desks, bars and slot-machine bases at Trump Plaza in the 1980s. After they finished and *****the general contractor approved the work,***** the company submitted its final bill. Paul and his father Edward were summoned to the casino for a meeting with Trump and his brother, Robert, **who told them the work was inferior** and they wouldn't get the last payment of $83,600. Donald Trump told Edward Friel he could still work on future projects, said Paul Friel, adding that the invitation undercut the argument that the work was not satisfactory.
.
"*****Friel said the missed last payment ultimately led to the demise of the company, which had been in business since the 1940s.*****"

"  “It was like we won the lottery,” Beth Rosser remembers. Her dad, Forest Jenkins, had just secured a $200,000 contract to work at the biggest prize in Atlantic City: Donald Trump’s Taj Mahal. His company installed toilet partitions – not exactly glamorous, but important nonetheless. It was 1988, and a six-figure contract was huge. ...
.
"But what seemed like a winning ticket soon turned into a nightmare when the paycheck never came. ... Jenkins says his dad, who built the company from nothing, nearly lost everything. ...
.
"After years of fighting through bankruptcy court, the Jenkins ended up with just 30 cents on the dollar. Their company was owed $231,000, according to the bankruptcy claim filed in the case. The Jenkins family received $70,000. The Jenkins family realized they weren’t alone. Dozens of contractors who had worked on the construction were also getting stiffed. “It’s 27 years later. I grit my teeth every time I see him on television blustering about what a wonderful businessman he is,” Rosser says. ...

"Donald Trump often portrays himself as a savior of the working class who will "protect your job." But a USA TODAY NETWORK analysis found he *****[Trump] has been involved in more than 3,500 lawsuits over the past three decades — and a large number of those involve ordinary Americans, like the Friels, who say Trump or his companies have refused to pay them.***** ...

"At least 60 lawsuits, along with hundreds of liens, judgments, and other government filings reviewed by the USA TODAY NETWORK, document people who have accused Trump and his businesses of failing to pay them for their work. Among them: a dishwasher in Florida. A glass company in New Jersey. A carpet company. A plumber. Painters. Forty-eight waiters. Dozens of bartenders and other hourly workers at his resorts and clubs, coast to coast. Real estate brokers who sold his properties. And, ironically, several law firms that once represented him in these suits and others. Trump’s companies have also been cited for 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act since 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage, according to U.S. Department of Labor data. That includes 21 citations against the defunct Trump Plaza in Atlantic City and three against the also out-of-business Trump Mortgage LLC in New York. ...

"In addition to the lawsuits, the review found more than 200 mechanic’s liens — filed by contractors and employees against Trump, his companies or his properties claiming they were owed money for their work — since the 1980s.
