Protect against terrorism?
Cyberattacks?
White collar crime?
Kidnapping?
Not any more. Not under Donald J. (Edgar Hoover) Trump's FBI. Trump has ordered FBI employees to IMMEDIATELY search their workstations and digital media for any records pertaining to the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa who disappeared fifty years ago. Is Trump thinking of pardoning Jimmy Hoffa? No, Richard Nixon, the president almost as crooked as Trump pardoned Hoffa in 1971.

This comes a few weeks after Trump ordered the release of all documents pertaining to Amelia Earhart who disappeared in 1937:
"Employees in the FBI’s DC and New York field offices received a highly unusual message from their leadership flagged with high importance late Tuesday telling them: 'Per a priority request from the Executive Office of the President of the United States, please search any areas where papers or physical media records may be stored, to include both open or closed cases, for records responsive to Amelia Earhart.'"

Trump is a fucking moron...and you know it!!!
I guess you missed the gambling ring and sports betting that they are investigating and busted.
The FBI investigation dubbed "Operation Nothing But Net" began as early as December 2022, with the period of alleged illicit activity running through March 2024. The operation was formally announced to the public on October 23, 2025, when over 30 individuals, including NBA figures Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups, were arrested and charged.

FBI's "Operation Royal Flush" began more than four years ago, around 2021, as a multi-agency investigation into a gambling scheme. The operation was recently highlighted in news reports on October 23, 2025, following arrests and indictments that are the culmination of years of investigative work.

Kash simply wanted to take credit for the hard work of FBI professionals.
He is still ignoring that it is what they are working on and still working on.
I don't think OP is ignoring the work in progress. What he is questioning is why is agent time being diverted to historical cases, e.g. Jimmy Hoffa and Amelia Earhart, which have minimal impact on current events, when there are more relevant investigations to pursue and prosecute, especially after Patel had reassigned one quarter of his agents to work on immigration enforcement.
If there’s information on these two historical cases that has been withheld from the public, when should that info be released?
Concurrently with the release of the non-redacted Epstein files.
Has there been possibly new information found out? Lots of things not known.
You also know that many cold cases get looked at all the time by the FBI. These two are "cold cases".
It just seems that the OP has nothing to bitch about other than things like this. He is looking for trivial things to complain about.

You wanna hang your hat on that?
No..... just saying that there was a major case that was just reported on.
Plus cold cases get brought back to light all the time.
Especially since Patel reassigned one fourth of his FBI agents to immigration pursuits, I would rather have every remaining agent working on preventing the next terrorist attack, stopping human trafficking, uncovering foreign and domestic spies, stopping illegal arms trade, exposing fraud and abuse, protecting government officials, preventing voting interference, etc, than tracking down whodunit in hundred year old cases.
You do know that working with ICE/CBP/DEA is also terrorist/protecting the border, stopping illegal arms, drugs, etc.
You do know they had a HUGE bust of guns down in Texas don't you. Then about two weeks ago caught another person with $1M in cash and also a bunch of gun parts and what not.
Also you talk about fraud and abuse..... they are finding it record time in MN....I think it is up to $3B now and still climbing.
For fuck sakes guys..... find other shit to complain about.
Some people want CLOSURE.... that is why. Cold cases don't exactly impact today's threats/dangers.... but people want closure.
But you do know Jimmy Hoffa.....had ties to the mob, ties to corruption, ties to government, ties to big unions, etc.
here ya go soyboy eddie
Contrary to your lies the FBI is working on thwarting terrorist attacks
all the things you would rather have FBI working on, they are in fact working on.
Do you really think they are going to advertise what they are working on?
I have every confidence that FBI is working on all you mention… “preventing the next terrorist attack, stopping human trafficking, uncovering foreign and domestic spies, stopping illegal arms trade, exposing fraud and abuse, protecting government officials, preventing voting interference.”…but do not talk about it because it would compromise the investigations/undercover operations etc.
But a partisan hack like you and your ilk do nothing but spread lies and smear agencies because you have a very unhealthy hate for Trump.
Or when the FBI was going after pro life proponents? Remember Mark Houck the guy who was raided by a swat team of FBI agents in his home? Then he got charged for pushing a guy who was messing with his son. Then he got acquitted at trial…
That was a great use of the FBI’s time and energy.
...and I think the Epstein files should come out as well. That said, I'd pick Fast & Furious. I'd sure like to see the documents that AG Eric Holder refused to turn over to congress. Nothing says I'ma Democrat more than concocting an scheme to allow 1000's of *illegal firearms to flow into Mexico so we could "trace" them to the cartels. Who would have ever thought about literally arming an enemy of the people of the USA, the narco armies of central and south America? Well, Democrats, that's who. Border Patrol Agent and Husband, Brian Terry, was killed with an AK-47 supplied to the cartels by Barrack Hussein Obama and AG Eric Holder. Many of the illegal weapons were used in several other violent acts and killings since Brian's murder. To date, many of these guns are still unaccounted for and likely still being used to kill.
Fast forward 15 years, creepy Uncle Joe says HOLD MY BEER and leaves billions in military equipment, weaponry and munitions to arab terrorists leaving 13 US soldiers and 170 afgan civilians slaughtered in the process. We do not know how many 1000's have died since.
*note that illegal in context to this post mean that these weapons were military grade and would have been ILLEGAL for US citizens without going thru a very restrictive and highly regulated, monitored and inspected licensing process.
The stupid fuck has swallowed Trump's lies about the Afghan pullout. It was TRUMP who fucked it up.
It was Trump who negotiated a truly terrible peace deal with the Taliban. He cut the Afghan government out of the negotiations and did a deal which had him release top Taliban terrorists from prison. And what did they do? They promptly went back to battling the government.
To make matters worse Trump then pulled out thousands of US troops from the country, causing even more instability. And then he laughed about how he'd boxed Biden in. Biden actually delayed things beyond what Trump had planned.
Oh, and all that military equipment was part of the deal. The TRUMP deal.
Trump bears a huge responsibility for the tragic end of the US misadventure in Afghanistan.
But snafuckface will blame Biden, excuse Trump and beg him for more turds to eat.
snafuckhead hates America as much as he hates the truth.
Thank you sir, may I have another:
I'd have a link or two to support that bullshit please, your opinion is worthless. You've proven that time after time.
If you can't remember what happened only five years ago, you are a fucking moron.
AI Overview
President Donald Trump’s administration signed a deal with the Taliban in February 2020 that is widely criticized for excluding the Afghan government and for provisions related to the release of Taliban prisoners. The deal is often cited as contributing to the collapse of the Afghan government and the swift Taliban takeover that followed the U.S. withdrawal in 2021.
The 2020 Doha Agreement
Negotiated exclusively with the Taliban: The Trump administration deliberately cut the U.S.-backed Afghan government out of the talks, even though the government was a U.S. ally. The Taliban had long refused to negotiate directly with what they called the "American puppet" government in Kabul. This exclusion severely weakened the Afghan government and undermined its legitimacy.
Taliban prisoner release: The agreement included a "confidence-building measure" for a prisoner swap. It called for the Afghan government to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners in exchange for the Taliban releasing 1,000 captured Afghan security forces.
Afghan government objections: The Afghan government under President Ashraf Ghani was not a party to this agreement and was highly reluctant to release the prisoners, especially hardened fighters with serious offenses.
Taliban bolstered: Under intense pressure from the U.S., the Afghan government eventually released the prisoners. The move released many senior Taliban commanders back to the battlefield, providing a significant boost to the Taliban's fighting and organizing capabilities.
Conditional withdrawal: The deal set a timeline for the phased withdrawal of all U.S. and NATO troops within 14 months, contingent on the Taliban preventing Afghanistan from being used as a base for terrorist groups.
Ignored conditions: Critics say the Trump administration proceeded with talks despite intelligence indicating the Taliban did not intend to honor its commitments, such as fully severing ties with al-Qaeda.
Limited options for Biden: When the Biden administration took office, the deal left it with few options other than to proceed with the withdrawal or break the agreement and potentially restart attacks against U.S. troops.
Criticisms of the deal
Weakened Afghan morale: The agreement, particularly the mandatory prisoner release and the exclusion of the Afghan government, severely damaged the morale of Afghan security forces.
Legitimized the Taliban: By negotiating directly with the Taliban and sidelining the Afghan government, the U.S. effectively gave the insurgent group the international credibility they had long sought.
Set the stage for collapse: Senior U.S. military officials have since testified that the Doha agreement was a critical factor leading to the rapid collapse of the Afghan government in 2021. General Frank McKenzie, the head of U.S. Central Command at the time, stated that the deal had a "morale-depleting effect" on the Afghan military.
SNAFUBAR's reply: "Fucking lefty AI Overview!"
he shrinks from facts like a vampire fears sunlight.
Oh, and there's this...."Boasting about limiting choices: The Democratic Party of Oregon notes that Trump bragged that the Biden administration "couldn't stop the process" he had started with the Doha Agreement. An NPR report from August 2021 also highlighted Trump's criticism of the Biden administration for supposedly dragging its feet on the withdrawal.
Trump's actions:
The Doha Agreement, signed in February 2020, set a May 1, 2021, deadline for the complete withdrawal of US forces.
Before leaving office, Trump's administration reduced US troops in Afghanistan to just 2,500, the lowest number since 2001.
According to a 2021 NPR report, Trump had also unilaterally announced troop withdrawals during his negotiations, signaling his intent to pull out.
Impact on Biden's administration:
In a 2023 "hotwash" review, the Biden administration asserted that its options were "severely constrained" by the conditions set by the Trump administration.
The review also stated that the outgoing Trump administration provided "no plans for how to conduct the final withdrawal or to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies".
