The "transition period" continues towards a recession . . .
DJIA is -890 or -2.1%
S&P 500 is - 156 or -2.6%
NASDAQ is -728 or -4.0%
He said we could fall into a recession. What a dunce.
Meanwhile the Premier of Ontario, Canada, has slapped a 25% tax on energy his province supplies to the US, starting today. It affects 1.5 million Americans in Wisconsin, Michigan and NY.
Tired of winning yet?
Pointing to short term stock fluctuations as proof of anything is fools gold. As soon as they get some more reassurance that the sky isn't falling, the markets will rebound and probably sharply so. I have seen this play out too many times, on both sides of the aisle, to go down this rabbit hole.
I've told my broker to start buying when he thinks the time is right.
-- Modified on 3/10/2025 5:42:04 PM
for each of the stocks you want to buy cheap. The purchase will be automatically executed when the stock hits that price. Do the same thing on a sell limit order when you think the price is near the top. This way, YOU are in charge of the buy-sell prices and don't have to trust the discretion of the broker who doesn't get his commission until an order goes through. If you price is 60, and slowly falling WITH the market movement, I will put in a limit order at 55 and another one at 50. That way, I get some cheap at 55, in case the market and turns and goes up, but if it keeps falling down to 50, then the second order get executed and my average cost on the whole lot is 52.5. This is how I work the market. Others may have their own methods, but almost anyone can do this and make money in a moving market, up or down. Nothing is worse for me than to give the broker discretion and find out he missed a buying opportunity on a turnaround. Limit orders keep me in charge and the computer executes the trade automatically on my order, not the broker's.
First of all, I don't trade in individual stocks. My broker puts me in various funds and his timing is based on his own experience as well as some quite expensive forecasting services. So I'll go with that.
Last time I did this it was during the depths of the Covid market plunge in 2020 and I made six figures by getting back in at the right time.
Seem to be a "let's see what we can blame on Trump today"
Nothing. That's what.
We could literally post, The Dow rises over 900 points today..... next week and we'd hear "Trump didn't have anything to do with that"
You guys don't need to be butt hurt all over again just because we went from the worst President ever elected, possibly in the history of the US, (and ypu know it) to one of the greatest presidents ever elected. And damn if yall ain't mad about it? What in THE hell???
I'm so glad I don't live a glass half empty life.
"let's see what we can blame on Biden today."
And almost all of it was bogus.
Hypocrite.
Now cue up The SPOAT's predictable and desperately-needed reply.
Don't be mad at me because you "thought" he was a good idea. Voting for, who will be named worst president ever elected, really shines a light on other decisions you make. 😳
Hey, Just because you look like him and you act like him, didn't meant you should have voted for him. Bad idea.... you see how well that worked out right?
"let's see what we can blame on Biden today."

Hypocrite.

If you want the Democrats to expose themselves as the nutters they are, then it makes sense to telegraph your punches. But why on earth would you do the same with Canada?!?!? Canada was a cunt hair away from electing a conservative PM after Trudeau wrecked the place, but now that probably won’t happen. Trump could have gotten the same thing he wanted just by being nice and keeping tariff talk out of the press.
In retaliation for Ontario energy duties. Another spiral down in the trade war with our neighbor to the North.
Had it for years. Somehow it’s only a bad thing when we protect our own country instead of protecting Canada.
Once again, you formed your opinions from memes, tweets, and MAGA sources instead of from the factual details. In this case . . .
-
President Donald Trump correctly noted Friday, as he has before, that Canada has tariffs above 200% on dairy products imported from the US. But Trump again failed to mention a critical fact.
-
Those high tariffs kick in only after the US has hit a certain Trump-negotiated quantity of tariff-free dairy sales to Canada each year – and as the US dairy industry acknowledges, the US is not hitting its allowed zero-tariff maximum in any category of dairy product.
-
In many categories, notably including milk, the US is not even at half of the zero-tariff maximum.
-
“In practice, these tariffs are not actually paid by anyone,” Al Mussell, an expert on Canadian agricultural trade, said in an email Friday.
-
Willy, you fell for the half-truths that were formed into political lies.
…fails to provide sources. I’ve heard for years about how US dairy can’t make a dent into Canada.
“Between Canada and the United States under the [U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement], the deal that we negotiated under President Trump in his first term, Canada and the United States are 99 percent tariff-free.”

"Value of U.S. dairy product exports to Canada grew by nearly 50 percent in just over a decade" [2022]

It's like a strawweight boxer stepping into the ring with the heavyweight champion, throwing the first punch, which bounces off an iron jaw, and leaves the champ laughing his ass off just before he KO's the strawweight boxer with one punch.
The problem Canada has is that the replacement for Trudeau is basically a Trudeau 2.0. The guy is so out of his league the voters are laughing at him.
I don't know much the new Canadian guy, but I remember when the consensus said Zelensky wouldn't last 3 days, much less a week, against Putin's invasion. And the comedian made a laughing stock of the Russian bear.
Because Biden and the bureaucracy gave him a blank check drawn on American taxpayer money. In November, the voters rejected this strategy by electing Trump. If Zelensky doesn't cave in to whatever Trump is asking for, he will "lead" Ukraine into complete destruction. Kudos to the American taxpayers who have said, "Enough!"
Ukraine held off the initial Russian invasion without much US help. The voters did NOT reject US strategy in Ukraine. The voted for Trump's views on the border and inflation. Most voters continue to support aid to Ukraine.
Then Biden slow walked approvals on force multipliers like HIMARS artillery, ATACMS missiles, and fighter jets.
It will be interesting to see how Russia now responds to the US ceasefire proposal that has been accepted by the Ukrainian president.
Yes... most far left whack job voters do continue to support aid to Ukraine.
The voters who counted the most in January and the sensible ones with the common sense...... are completely OVER sending aid to Ukraine.
Sure is easy to see what category the village idiot and TERs most honored liar falls into.
Of course, he'll claim this Pew poll is bullshit because he thinks anything that conflicts with his simplistic views isn't a fact.
Then again, he's the biggest liar on this site.
nicky is correct. Biden and the U.S. military gave up on Ukraine as Putin amassed his military on its border. Biden even offered Zelensky santuary, but he declined and decided stay in his country no matter what. The U.S. didn't believe the former comedian would last a week and were proven wrong.
Just like Looooooser.
Just like Looooooser.
You two are... What's the term? "MAKIN SHIT UP!!!"
From the article: "To date, we have provided $66.5 billion in military assistance since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and approximately $69.2 billion in military assistance since Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine in 2014."
In other words, before the newest phase of the war started, we'd only provided Ukraine with $2.7 billion. That covers from 2014 to Feb. 24, 2022.
Do your homework, Loooooser, you fuckup.
"You" should make sure "you" know how to spell "you" before attempting to call someone a fuck up.
Meanwhile, a provider shit all over his head on the GD Board,
So, all in all, a great night for The SPOAT.
…a typo and a misspelling because he’s a fucking moron.
Because the troll will sure point out when someone else misspells or makes a 'typo" ANY time the troll gets the opportunity. I guess I embarrassed his little butt fuck buddy.

Now mind you this was all supplied between the invasion on February 24 2022 and March 21 2022 the date of the article.

Again your assertion that the US didn’t support Ukraine during the very beginning of the war is pure horse shit!!! 🖕🖕🖕
Besides you have been a complete, get your tongue in there past the sphincter rim, asslicker of Bidens since he was nominated and here you are saying he didn’t act in a timely manner during the first month of the war??? W T F ickus?
Show me where I ever said "the US didn't support Ukraine during the very beginning of the war." You can't. Because I didn't. I simply pointed out the FACT that US support from 2014 to early 2022 -- EIGHT FUCKING YEARS -- was $2.7 billion compared to more than $60 BILLION over the past three years.
But Looooooser, the dishonest fuck, has to distort this. Why?
Because Loooooser is a dishonest, lying FRAUD.
Show me where I ever said "the US didn't support Ukraine during the very beginning of the war." You can't. Because I didn't.
Just so ya don’t have to click the link or scroll up…
“Ukraine held off the initial Russian invasion without much US help.”
$3.8 billion in less than a month? Change the subject much?
I was comparing the first 8 years of the war with the last three. You lost on that one and had no reply so you changed the subject.
Fucking weasel looooooser.

Ypu are now claiming that ypu were referring to the time when the Russians took crimea without firing a shot?
Btw ypu said
Ukraine held off the initial Russian invasion without much US help.
If that’s what your referring to then ypu are talking about the Obama years when he was giving blankets and hum rats out and Biden was extorting them to fire the prosecutor looking into the corruption Hunter was neck deep in.
Btw 2.7 billion? I guess in the eyes of a Dem that’s chump change?
Face it icky ypu are all about this war, spending our grand children’s money and many Many MANY Ukrainian lives because YPU haven’t seen real a shooting war have ya?
Oh that’s right you were busy playing desk cop and bragging you were a draft dodger 🤷🏻♂️
-- Modified on 3/13/2025 11:07:00 AM
I laugh at ypur complete inability to form a coherent argument without distorting everything I said.
Oh, well, at least ypur consistent. Consistently lying. About everything.
Including ypur fake military service.
Looooooser the lying stolen valor fraud.
Never served. Ever.
DAMN IT they are seeing right through my Bullshit! I hate it when that happens.
Face it you will twist yourself into whatever pretzel you can to spew your Blue Insanity.
P.S. You assholes on the left got hoodwinked by the Neocons like Victoria Nuland. good job idiots.
After Putin moved his invasion force into place, he paused the advance and told Biden he was willing to negotiate a peaceful solution. At that point, his biggest concern was Ukraine joining NATO. Instead of peace talks, Biden announced through the legacy media that we were expecting a war in Ukraine without even attempting a diplomatic solution. Biden WANTED a war to deflect from his piss-poor performance as President from inflation, high prices and an overrun border spilling crime into American streets.
You’re making it sound like the US stood by and did nothing AND WATCHED. 🖕 We were shipping ammo to Ukraine BEFORE the invasion.
